Having U.S. workers in the middle of a war zone based on the hope they won’t get bombed assuming Putin (or the Russian military) wouldn’t dare attack them just isn’t logical. Especially as it's a trade of mining for armaments being used against Russia. Putin has plenty of ways to escalate indirectly—just as he has in Europe. He could also simply bomb our workers and call it an “accident.” Or what if it was an accident.

No reasonable leader would sign off on that. We all know Trump is a loose cannon and he wouldn’t send workers to the middle of a war zone for better corp profits.
