We do drive through all the time now. Started out as our pandemic habit

 

We used to frequent the Long Doggers on Post & Wickham.

 

On a golf cart Viera style?

 

Nah, I hate those damn things. Especially when parents allow their young kids to drive them. I’ve seen some scary near misses

 

There is a new law on teenage golf cart use. Do you think BCSO is going to enforce that in Viera? Viera High parents would likely not be happy.

 

We’ll see. I do know that kids that drive their golf carts have to be registered with the school and they need a sticker just like car drivers.

 

Do you need what we used to call a restricted drivers license to drive one? And are these street legal golf carts or do they run cart paths everywhere?

 

These carts are not street legal for the most part. I think the new legislation may require some kind of licensing but I’m not sure.

I do know that the kids in my neighborhood and the neighborhoods around me drive in an unsafe manner a lot of the time. Too many kids on the cart, very young drivers, disregarding traffic signals, stuff like that. We actually have a golf cart parking area at the HS. It’s absurd.

But to be honest, a lot of adults disregard the rules, too.

It's hard to resist this summertime "we gonna be ALOT better thing"! This is of course the rite of passage of every college football fan in the summer.

Ah heck, it's fun to let ones imagination run wild this time o year.

But it does seem like we have more and better players in position, especially on defense. Not quite so sure in terms of the offensive line but our line coaches do have wide bodies to work with.

I was curious because this Margaritaville neighborhood is the first golf cart community I’ve ever lived in. The carts aren’t street legal but we’re behind gates so apparently they don’t have to be. I gotta admit it’s pretty convenient taking a golf cart to Publix — way less hassle than taking a car.

Being a 55+ community we don’t have kids driving them, but the drunks still manage to run into shit especially on the way home from the bar

 

Viera has wide side-walks so it is easy to get around in golf carts without going in the street.

 

But ya can’t cross I-95
