Option 1 - Will all remaining games EXCEPT UGA Option 2 - Lose all remaining games but beat UGA What say you? I know, for me, it's easy, but I'm irrational - I will take Option #2! LOL
When was the last time we had two losing seasons in a row? Win as many as possible, recruit like hell and keep the rebuild going.
8-4 would mean a drastic turnaround. I'll take that all day. Road wins at aTm and Tally? Sign me up. That would be a real good roll to head into recruiting season with, and show kids the staff gets it figured out.
Beating UGA would be so satisfying that I can't think of a more perfect football Saturday... But getting Geoff Collins to be a "quality control" associate would make it better.
Easy answer, Option 2 now gets us to beating uga on a regular basis sooner. Option 2 is not good for the program and soooo many fans would be screaming for CBN's head if we lost to all of the others.
The most important game left on the schedule is fsu. Period. We're not going to beat Georgia and no one expects us to do that, so the options presented are purely hypothetical.
Option 3 (beating uga and f$u, and looking good doing it) and losing the rest is a tougher call. Finish 6-6 with those wins or go 8-4, which is a nice finish, is a much more difficult decision.
This is where my brain ALWAYS goes when our seasons get a little rocky like this. It's irrational, I know...it just comes from pure contempt for UGA and FSU. However, for the sake of building confidence and on-the-field chemistry week over week (and knowing that we stand little chance of winning against UGA anyway), I think option 1 is better for the long run.
I could accept either option if done in the proper manner - close losses where the team showed improvement. But if I have to pick one it would be the one with a winning season.
