Yale QB Aidan Warner Transferring to Florida

He's getting some kind of aid. His name isn't Aiden for nothing.

 

But not the DC. Guess they think leadership is the weakest link over here rather than having no players.

 

I agree, it's nice to see players that want to be Gators! Unlike Bazooka who was here for one year and entered the transfer portal the next year. And kudos to Jason

 

Welcome to Gator Nation young man! Listen, I love my Alma Mater. But if you have an opportunity to get an undergraduate degree from Yale, why go to UF? Although I’m sure he has his reasons, this one confuses me.

 

Maybe he found that playing football and being a student at Yale was too difficult, or perhaps they found that he could get a great degree from a top public university for a fraction of the cost that he could continue at Yale. Maybe he was homesick...I understand that New Haven, Conn isn't the garden spot of the world. Ppl do a lot of things for a lot of reasons that other ppl don't understand, but if it works for him....more power to him.

Yale is pretty generous with their scholarship money. He likely didn't need it as he is bringing his personal trainer along with him. You are right about New Haven, outside of the school it is pretty gloomy. Great pizza though!

 

I don't think the Quiz Bowl was what the UAA had in mind when they told Billy to get his team bowl eligible.

Relax, I said he likely had his reasons, but given he is bringing his own staff with him, I highly doubt it was financial. The most likely reason is that whatever course of study he wanted, Yale didn’t offer. I proudly display my UF degree, but it won’t open the same doors a Yale one would. To put it simply, a UF degree will open most doors, a Yale degree has already reserved you a corner office. It isn’t a move 99% of Ivy students would make.

 

“I grew up a Gator fan. Both my parents are Gators and my brother is a junior here,” Warner said on why he committed to UF. “I grew up coming to games and I have always loved the atmosphere. Gainesville is super familiar to me so when I got the opportunity to it was a no brainer.”
