C'mon, the article says they are giving Qatar the middle finger when really it's sticking your tongue out when Qatar has their back turned. It is all being done in a controlled environment. A middle finger would be refusing to play at all.

They protested on the podium after they won. If the us men’s team were fortunate enough to win place or show I think it would be fantastic if they did so festooned with all thing rainbow colored. Theres a pretty good chance this happens if a first world country wins. In the mean time I’m 100% ok with what they’re doing and I hope like hell it offends FFIFA and Qutar

 

And if they do I wouldn't have a problem with Qatar enforcing their laws and throwing them all in jail.

It would cut shoplifting in half. I also believe you follow the laws of a country you're visiting and don't be surprised if you are punished for breaking them no matter how much you may disagree with them.
