Women’s Sports

I think in most cases trans should not be competing in women’s sports. But I’m not sure I see the need for a national law.
Seems like it should be handled at an association level.

Since apparently the Mass Shooter scoreboard is Trans v. Not Trans, you have to be next level selective hearing to only see the 1 score Team Trans has pulled off. That has tightened the score, only down about 8000 now.

Agreed. But apparently Repubs think it should be banned at the national level. With abortion many Repubs say it should be left up to the state to decide. Why is that?

 

What's the compromise on this? I'm usually for a compromise like abortion rights, but with this it's either you let biological males compete in sports or you don't. I'm fine making a 3rd category but I don't want biological males competing against my daughter.

 

I completely disagree. When states are passing laws that prevent students from even discussing who they are in class under threat of penalty to the instructor, we have isolated and villified them. That is already eliminated any foundation for a rational discussion.

As for Minority on Minority, which Minorities are you discussing? Because Republi-ban and their supporters are ~ 47% of Americans, the single largest group in politics.

Further, most of the Republi-ban now find fighting the Culture War more important that addressing actual meaningful issues in our country. Marginalization and bigotry now more important that taking care of the elderly and ensuring the nation's fiscal solvency. Sounds just like the misdirection of hatred plan used by other "conservative" political leaders in Europe circa-1930.

I'm fine with it being at the state level as well for children's and High School sports BUT when you have the NCAA let a biological male win an NCAA title that sort of makes a mockery of the situation.

No, and neither sre most left of me. The problem is how to not disenfranchise that youth even more. I think they should compete as sex born until time certain (36 months?) after hormones equate to female levels. Seems reasonable but emotions and prejudice on both sides prevents reasonable solutions

 

Trans population is what .005%? Women are over 50%. Don’t disenfranchise or discourage the .005% because they want to compete? That makes sense.
