Guess where keeping CBN and that "Buy-Out" money is going? LOL

I am not expecting anything out of Offord, but last year Robinson did decommit from Texas to go with us after they had a great season. Zandamela determined that USC was too far away from his network. So maybe Ffrench could go to UF, Miami or FSU for a similar reason.

We are supposedly going to throw the CBN buyout around as NIL to get recruits, probably mostly portals, so we shall see. We will have to throw around significantly more than other programs to get a recruit because of our record versus them going to Oregon, Texas, and Ohio State. That means we will waste a lot of our powder compared to if we got a new proven coach to spend that money on recruits.

These guys just babble on with their negative drivel ignoring how much the defence had improved before the backfield was wiped out, ignore that the QB depth problem this year is also do to injuries and paint as bleak as possible a future as they can. The truth is they don't know any more about the Gators situation or have any better insight into it than my Cairn terrior.

I don't need to watch that clip to answer the question posed at the outset.

If your Cairn Terrier can't see where this is headed, he/she must be the dumbest Cairn Terrier ever (since they are very smart dogs).

And they get higher offers. Coaches want to get to know kids in person.

So what were the achievements of the defense at the beginning of the year before everyone got injured? Most development happens before fall ball.

Shift the buyout to NIL and land some 5*’s. The narrative will change. At a minimum he is stocking the cupboard with a roster that can compete. I really want to poach F$U’s line commits.

Well we can laugh at Norvell and FSU all we want right now, but he went 10-3 and 13-1, so at least he had some "Boom" to go along with his BUSTS.

We have only seen "bust" in CBN's 3-3/4 years.

Just perhaps this move will give CBN, and the Program "new life" should the money result in high caliber talent aquisition in the portal and here at the close of the early H.S. signing day period. I sure hope so.

I've always been impressed with Billy the person, and it seems clear the players respond to him. But this is a "What have you done for me lately" business, and Billy, as much as I like his character, and the attitude in the locker room, has consistently delivered a loser to Gator Nation.

Despite my serious doubts it does seem DJL plays Saturday (and others who were on IR). This gives me "just a tweak" of hope. It would be great to win 2 more and crawl into a bowl. Hell I just might go to Shreveport, or wherever if UF makes it. (I like Cajun food) I hope it's Shreveport.

And Mullen took us to two NY6 bowls. You see how that turned out.

Also, Napier was hired Nov, 28, 2021. He hasn’t had 3 3/4 years. He’s been here 2 years, 11 months, and 17 days. Still less than 3 years. People were calling for his head at 2.5 years, which is insane given all that needed to be fixed.

Yes I do, we went to two NYs day bowls, not home early, with losing records.

Look I like Napier, just want to win a few games. Getting blown out by decent teams is not real enjoyable.

Anyway, let's hope UF pulls it off against LSU and has a shot at 6 - 6. I would be delighted by that.

Having been at UF when SOS was there, I agree. Then Urban moved the bar higher. We all want to win and beat the great teams, but some just disagree on how to get there. I think our coach is the most personable one we’ve had in ages, so I don’t understand those that attack that side of him as a coach (not saying you, but others here do). It amazes me how every time it starts looking up, we lose a critical piece to continue the climb. This season, we had UGA on the ropes and bam, there goes our most critical player. The quickly the DBs fall and everything built collapses. I’m hoping DJ, Baugh, and Badger can light up LSU and steal their will early. If we can limp into a bowl game and close on another solid class of athletes, we will at least enter 2025 with a stocked cabinet. At that point he will decide his future at UF with his roster and his coaching staff adjustments. We should have a new president and hopefully AD by then. If we need a new coach then, at least we should have someone other than SS making the call.

Let’s get a W this weekend and then roll FSU, the rest will fall into place soon.

Go Gators and I hope you have a great Saturday!

But when you can physically see a change in how they are/were starting to play, more intensity, quicker, forcing turnovers, getting in the back field. It was an obvious uptick in the defenses play but does that necessarily need a why or a how to validate the change. I'm not sure you can quantify nor find reason if it just happens. Maybe the kids got tired of getting their ass kicked who knows I just hope we keep improving.

Can you imagine the hype if we got to a bowl game against a team like Nebraska, with another 5* freshman QB?

It would be worth watching if both teams played their entire rosters and were actually focused on winning the game.

I was just making the point we were unprepared for the season on defense. We have to also be objective and realize MSU was a very bad bad team, and the qb play of UTk, UK, and Georgia was very bad. Our secondary got some blooped softballs for turnovers. Now that we have so many injuries we are just giving some kids playing time and see how they respond. It's hard to guage what is improvement now.

FSU's head coach did this... and it worked for him, for two years.
