It's crazy how the justified frustration of fans seeing a once national championship caliber program in a tailspin is "re-packaged" as negativity

Not really - frustration in your head becomes negativity when you wish for negative outcomes to accelerate the transition.

This, but also "justified frustration" just becomes "incessant whining" at some point. Posting "Billy bad" for the 43714923749817649823147th time only makes the board worse.

Not including FIU, WEST ILL.,and Charlotte the average strength of schedule (CBS) of the teams IND. has defeated is 69.2. What do you think their record would be with our schedule.

The Hole offense is setting records for futility. I think they are last in Power 4 at around 13 ppg. I have watched several of their games. The defense is not all that bad in the first half of games but they collapse in the second half, I suspect they just get worn out and the Hole offense is useless, so it gets in the "mind" of the defense the second half of games.

This is my concern about UF playing in Tally though, with Warner at QB, UF's offense will be ineffective as well. I fully expect a tight contest in the first half with FSU's defense keeping them in it. This is a rivalry game and will be FSU's only shot to redeem themselves.

IMO UF will have to run the ball, and should have an advantage in this area considering FSU's running game to date. But I'm not going to decieve myself into thinking this will be an automatic "W". Not with Warner at QB. Now if DJL is able to play, thats a different story.

IMO this contest will be a 4-7 UF playing FSU at 2-9. My how once proud programs from the State of Florida have fallen.

    likely better than our record.

Some posters keep talking about the weakness of Indianas schedule. But what about the weakness of Indianas talent? I think makes a better point.

Indianas team talent composite is 57th. They are 7-0 vs teams on their schedule who have a higher talent composite. 7-0. That is a textbook example of great coaching. (They are also 3-0 vs teams with less talent and 10-0 overall). Both of Indianas next two opponents also have a higher talent composite than Indiana. Taking less talent and winning is good coaching. Period.

    Florida this year?
Currently 0-3 vs teams with more talent and 4-2 vs teams with less talent.

in his time at Florida, using the 247 talent composite , Napier and staff have beaten 1 team with a higher talent composite than UF, 2022 Texas A&M.

    Florida has had a team talent rating of 14, 15, and 12th in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

    the gator staff is:
1-7 vs teams with more talent per the composite
4-7 vs teams rated 15-30th in team talent composite
3-4 vs teams 31-57th in team talent
3-1 vs teams >58th in team talent
    3-0 vs fcs

This is an example of poor coaching.

so while Cignetti and Indians schedule isn’t strong, the fact he is 7-0 vs teams with more talent is far more impressive than just saying “look at the schedules”.

Sorry lips, I thought you were posting about the Noles, I misread it, - Indiana, well sure as hell not unbeaten but one has to be impressed with what they are doing. I'm rooting for them and hope they go into the playoffs unbeaten.

I dont give much credence to ranking outside the top 300-400 kids. The guys doing the ranking dont know who these kids are. Hes doing a great job coaching but napier is playing legit teams and its not just someones opinion.. cignetti will get to play truly talented teams eventually.

I agree with you here in principle. But it’s not poor coaching per se- rather a coaching philosophy that is simplistic and requires everything to happen right to secure a win against a talented opponent. This is my criticism of Billy- his style does not give us a schematic advantage whereas Spurriers team overperformed their talent.

Not going to argue with you on the first part of your post but you really can't use what Spurrier did to reference whats possible today. SOS reinvented offensive football as the overwhelming belief was that you could not win throwing the ball. The written in stone saying was "if you throw the ball three things can happen and two of them are bad". He was a controversial hire for that reason. When it turned out that safeties couldn't cover receivers much less linebackers all was good. Also for the most part he had plenty of talent.
