WIth a new football season upon us, here is a refresher on the rules for posting.

The Golden Rule
"Post unto others, as you would have them post unto you"... In other words, think about what you are saying and what you have typed before hitting the Enter Key.

Be respectful of your fellow members!

Our forums have different rules or ways we handle each forum. In the paid forums the mods are a bit more lenient on how they handle things. Criticisms and negative posts have a broader range than what we allow in the free forums. When a paying customer posts on the free sports forums they are judged as the other free members and under the stricter guidelines. The paid forums have a bit of privacy.

Free sports Forum Moderators are stricter. Posts there can be read by anyone, and we would not want some of those posts seen by others. Plus we do not want our forums to become a venting forum more than a discussion forum.

We have rule O for that reason.
O. Constant negativity will mean removal from a thread or if a poster persists in negativity it could lead to removal from the site for a
period of time.

Then we have the social media threads (The Pub and Too Hot) that are moderated differently and well.

Please be mindful of the forum you are posting in as those will be the rules your post will be ruled by.

Here are the rules for the premium and free sports boards:

A. Code of Conduct
Flaming, harassing, insulting, or threatening a coach, player, or another member is not allowed nor will it be tolerated.

B. Profanity is not permitted, everybody slips once in a while... The occasional "hell", "damn", "ass" “shit” etc... are fine, just not every other word of each post. Words about sexual acts are not allowed. This includes if they are obscured but symbols like “F##@” or in most acronyms.


C. The following subjects will NOT be tolerated as topics for conversation in ANY forum other than Too Hot for Swamp Gas.:
Politics
Religion
Race
Sexual Orientation

D. Spamming is not allowed.

E. Posting of links to Pornographic sites is not permitted. Posting of pornographic or overtly sexual images is not acceptable.

F. Arguing with a moderator or refusing to do or stop doing something a Moderator has asked you about, will not be tolerated. If you have an issue with a Moderator, send a PM to one of the site administrators. @OklahomaGator, @unclenunzio , @ETGator @solari

G. Screen names, avatars, and links of an offensive or suggestive nature will not be tolerated and may be removed at the Administrators' discretion.

H. Posting of personal information (i.e., phone numbers, addresses, employment) within topics are not allowed.

I. Copyrighted material or copying non-copyright material is prohibited.

You may link to an article and include up to 4 paragraphs but no more than half the article.
You may link to an article on a rival Gators site, such as 247, Scout, Rivals and others. NO link to or mentions of Gator Collective is allowed.

J. Rumors should not be posted about a Gator player or coach.

K. Moderators and admins are not to be blocked or placed on your "ignore" list.

L. Posters with little posting history may NOT leave negative ratings without providing an explanation. Moderators or Administrators of the forums will determine if the poster's history is enough so that the poster may give negative ratings.

M. Bumping threads for the sole purpose of getting them BTTT (back to the top) is not allowed.

N. A member cannot have a political aspect to their signature and/or their Avatar.

O. Constant negativity will mean removal from a thread or if a poster persists in negativity it could lead to removal from the site for a period.

P. There will be an official game thread for all major games. All references to the game will be in this thread. Any new threads about the game while the game is in progress will be instantly deleted.

Q. A quoted post can not be edited and then reposted in a new post.
