We did miss on Scott, Knowles and Lupoi.

 

I honestly think Napier is going to live or die with his own play calling and will be surprised if he hires an OC to take over those duties. He stubbornly believes in himself and his process and thinks that the problems over the last 2 years are "correctable".

You know how this stuff like this gets started.. Some clown on the internet invents Korn as a possible OC and all the shepple can't help but to eat it up.

Well stated. For anyone really paying attention this year, it was clear play-calling was not the issue.

 

With what we had, playcalling is very limited. It’s not like he could go out on a limb and call some crazy plays with what we had going on

 

While the offense wasn’t the biggest issue, 28.4 pts per game average doesn’t scream a winning one.

Napier just needs to call more plays where Mertz has all day.

 

I think Mertz has Napier's go-ahead this year on the long ball, this judging from how much more he let Mertz open up the passing game towards the end of the last season.
