He should be getting pretty close to a degree. He was an ee at OSU, so he will have completed four full years in just another week or so.

He didn't walk on senior day so I either he is graduating this coming semester and will enter the second portal after spring ball as a grad transfer or he is retiring.
He used his free transfer to come to UF from OSU. So if he transfers without a degree, he has to sit out a year and file for a medical redshirt to get it back.

So the best case for him is to stay on scholarship, get a MedRS and hang around long enough to get a Master's.

We do need to go out and get an experienced backup though. Not sure we’re selling the opportunity to compete for a starting job when Mertz looks to be the man in ‘24.

Wasn’t there a connection between Napier and Millers dad?
If so I could see him maybe staying around, even if graduates in the spring. Or maybe he’s willing to just be a backup and learn the coaching side?

I agree he should be close, if not quietly graduating this semester, he should be done at the end of spring.

IDK about a connection but agree that with his injuries, he sees the NFL is not an option and stays to learn to coach.

They were given a sixth year of time to use their four years of eligibility, so even if he sat, he’d still have a year to use his last year. He could still potentially get a medical redshirt and have two years to play even after sitting out a year too.

I hope he stays. This is just conversation.

Yeah, we need at least another scholarship QB in the pen. Hope we can get one in the portal, but I wouldn’t expect a star player.

    I assume that includes sacks.

Gators missed out on Kerwin Bells son, Kade. Kade becomes OC for Pitt. Kade was OC for Kerwins Western Carolina team.

We're waiting for Korn to finish coaching in his NY6 bowl game vs Oregon before we bring him to the light.
