The vast majority of COVID deaths were from the elderly or pre-existing conditions. If you were 50 and under with no major conditions COVID was nothing more than a bad flu/cold for you.

And whether you like it or not Florida has a lot more elderly than New York or California. If New York or California had the amount of elderly Florida does their numbers would’ve been much worse.

I'm not talking about his first term and failed coup attempt, idiot. I'm talking about a second term where he will do what he can to finish the job.

I said I would leave if I was YOUNG and HAD THE MEANS, asshole.

The answer to this question largely depends on if the cops are going to murder someone on camera while people are cooped up due to a pandemic, not working, and wanting to get out of the house to do literally anything.

Again, nobody under the age of 35 “elected” Hamas. They were elected by adults SEVENTEEN years ago.

I would stop indiscriminately killing women and children if I were Israel. Nothing is gained by doing so - it only plants the seeds of the next terrorist attack.

Maybe go after the leadership of Hamas in the UAE. Killing a bunch of Gazans does nothing to protect Israel - especially in the long run.

They don't realize that an untethered trumph is dangerous. I've already seen how they have set up this country to go down the road to an autocracy. Stacked the court with radical right wingers, stacked fed courts with more of the same, allowed tea party candidates to infiltrate the republican party, he'll put more unqualified cronies in charge of important posts like the DOJ the FBI etc. He'll then go on his retribution tour and NOTHING done for the actual people of the country, just like the first time. We can add project 2025 into the mix. He was restrained by good people who believed in this country during his first term. Now he doesn't have to worry about a re election.

They say people will accept losing democracy if they think a new government will benefit them and to hell with those whom it doesn't. Be careful what you wish for trumpies.

That's true for everyone everywhere, yet we led the nation. He forced businesses to not require masks. He's the master of government overreach.

With the help/blessing of the right-wing Israelis who wanted them in power to mutually kill a 2 state solution it should be noted. That was their preferred outcome!

Wow, when you start trying to claim being genocided is for their own good, it might be time to look in the mirror a bit.

You're wrong. People with conditions did have to be a lot more careful, but COVID didn't have criteria. Athletes, young people and even babies died just as quickly of the disease. Young people were on respirators in the hospital. We ran out of respirators! It couldn't be just the old people and people with pre conditions. I'd link numbers, but our dictator governor made it so you can't see them.

    This comes to mind.
As Trump blames antifa, protest records show scant evidence

And yet no one was forcing those people to go in the business if they didn’t feel comfortable. An individual could still wear a mask if they wanted to.

He forced businesses to let you make the choice, the horror. I absolutely agree with the stance as mask mandates IMO were unconstitutional.

That’s the difference though, we had a choice here in Florida. You were stripped of any choice in New York or California. Give me the choice any day. I’ll assess the risk for myself. I don’t need daddy government to make that decision for me.

No, the only traitors are MAGA Republicans. I have no qualms saying they are ignorant and represent everything America ought not be. Your posts represent that - anger stoked by an evil narcissistic sociopath.

So government overreach is ok for you as long as you like it?
Well, those of us who recognized the severity of the disease didn't go to the businesses, it was people who believed like you that they were young and healthy that got sick and died. But ok, choices. Natural selection?

Hamas would love to kill every Jewish person in the world in another Holocaust and yet I don’t see you saying anything against that.

What about all the Jewish people killed on 10/7? All the Jewish people killed just trying to live their daily lives. Killed for no other reason than being Jewish.

Those kids lost the minute they were born. They are incredibly unlucky to be born where they were. I feel for them. But I also know what they are by and large going to become, terrorists.

I guess it comes down to an old moral argument. Destiny or free will? Can someone’s path be changed? If you were alive and had the chance to kill Hitler as a child (well before he did any of his horrific things), would you do it?

Yes, Hamas is horrible and many would like to commit genocide. I am against all people wanting to commit genocide.

Technically, they were killed for being Israeli. And yes, 10/7 was horrific. Doesn't justify genocide. Nothing does.

Well, by proposing genocide on people based on predetermination, you have something in common with Hitler. He believed in genocide as well as a good policy.

Absolutely. But again I take choices for my actions. I have a pre-existing condition that could’ve caused COVID to be bad for me. But you know what, I made the choice to keep living my life and not live in fear. I understood if I caught COVID it was my fault. I made the choice and accepted both the possible benefits and possible consequences of my actions.

It’s one of the big problems in the U.S. today. Everyone wants daddy government to tell them what to do. No one wants to make decisions for themselves and accept the benefits and consequences for their action.

Let me make this clear. I don’t need daddy government to keep me safe. I don’t need you or the medical profession to keep me safe.

I’ll choose freedom over safety any day if the week. You obviously would choose the reverse and are too naive to realize when you trade freedom for safety you will get (and no longer deserve) either. You give them an inch they will take a mile. Not one damn inch as far as I’m concerned.

Its kinda funny and also on brand that someone who has started "white genocide" type threads is like "you know what, maybe genocide is good."

That was due to businesses threatening to fire employees over masks and covid mandates.

DS went too far with his rules. That’s what happens when the other side (for a better lack of words) goes too far with theirs.

Unfortunately that’s the world we live in. No middle ground allowed.
