we don't want to be the first P5 team to lose to Wake Forest this year, even on their court. They lost to Georgia for crying out loud

Agreed, but ESPN Matchup Predictor gives the Gators only a 32.4% chance of winning.

I'd love to come out with fire and take it to them. That would show maturity and desire.

Weird for sure. When you posted this I immediately went to the Hard Rock site to see if we were getting points.

Unfortunately it looks like we're -4.5, and not underdogs on the road.

ESPNs metrics are all over the place.

We definitely should be top 20 if you ask me. We have “quality losses”.

We might be in the "others getting votes" range. UVa is not that good and while the final score against Baylor was close the game wasn't really that close.

I get that not having Pullin for the UVa game hurt and not having H and Clayton being sick hurt us against Baylor. But we lost these games.

Exactly, if we won those games we should be top 10, or top 5. Point?

Clayton had another off shooting night in the loss. Had the same challenges in the other two losses. Challenges against VA, Baylor and now Wake. Appears when playing quality guards that defend well he has had challenges stepping up in competition this year. Needs to adjust to major P5 opponents. Pullin also shot poorly. Guard play last year and this has been the cause for many of our losses. Outplayed by opposing guards in score differential category. Wake starting guards scored 24 and 18 points. Arkansas upset Duke yesterday. Hopefully getting our starting big back helps rotation. Observation from last year and beginning of this is Golden offense enamored with 3 and he does not have the long range shooters for its success. Also, his guards don’t defend well. The scoring differential for guards needs to improve to become a ranked team

Well, we should be 7 - 3 going into the Dec. 19 game vs. Michigan. Hopefully...

Next 3 games are Merrimack, Richmond and East Carolina.

Despite the 4-3 record, Gators are #36 in KenPom, with the #40 SOS. Not a bad place to be, still in the NCAAT at-large bid range.
