Will A More Aggress Trade War or Even Actual War with Canada be Necessary?

I see that the U.S. has already reached an agreement with Mexico. Mexico at least seems willing to come to the table. Canada is the one who are trying to be jerks here it seems.

It's understandable that Canada would put tariffs on.U.S. good, but Canada is going farther than that. They are trying to ban certain U.S. products, including alcohol, period. They are outright promoting their citizens to only buy Canadian products. And they are advising they will seek other partnerships. Some Canadians even want all companies that support Elon Musk and Donald Trump banned from Canada, including all Elon Musk companies. All because the U.S. is trying to equalize a relationship that has, over the year, blatantly favored Canada.

Perhaps Canada was never the friend the U.S. thought they were. And Donald Trump had the vision to truly see through the facade. Once again revealing to Americans what the Democrats were able to hide. Perhaps Canadians are a bunch of communists right at our doorstep.

Canada is trying to swing their d*ck around, forgetting that Texas alone has a bigger economy than Canada. Canada is nothing without the U.S. Canada exists because the U.S. allows Canada to exist. The U.S. could easily defeat Canada in a war or allow another power to defeat Canada in a war.

It might be time to remind Canada who daddy is and it's not them. The U.S. is daddy in North America and it might be time to remind them of their place in the hierarchy of North America. I would be in support of the following more aggressive actions:

    - Having Elon Musk work with Mark Zuckerberg and China to block social media from Canada. Cut off some of their communication. No X, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok. No Starlink satellites. No iPhones. More limited access to Android phones. Cut them off technologically from the rest of the world. Let them build their own social media platforms. Let them build their own technology.

    - Work with China to not allow any Canadian companies to do business in the U.S. or China. Without the two largest economies in the World, Canadian companies would be crippled and would go out of business almost immediately.
    - So for example, ban Air Canada from flying in the U.S. Ban all
Canadian food and alcohol from grocery stores, liquor stores
and restaurants. It's no real major loss anyway.

    - For oil, order by executive order that any U.S. Oil Company that is delivering oil and gas to Canada be halted. All oil and gas drilled in Texas and the Gulf of America has to stay in the United States or at least can not be sold to Canada.

    - If Canada is still being arrogant, remind them, militarily, how we can take them by force at any time. Do some precision strikes in unpopulated areas to show them how easily we can penetrate their country and air space. If that doesn't work, then take out some of their few military installations. Canada barely has a military and would be conquered in weeks without the U.S.

    - If it comes down to it, the U.S. could forcefully invade Canada and force Canada to become part of the U.S. Even if the U.S. doesn't want to go that far, the U.S. could simply announce that it's open season in Canada. Broadcast it to the world that "If Any Country Wants To Invade Canada, The U.S. Will Not Intervene Or Attempt To Stop You."

Do almost any of these steps, and the U.S. will be in a far better position to dictate terms. It might be time for Canada to remember it's place in the world. I think even doing one or two steps above would have Canada begging for a U.S. relationship and especially U.S. protection again.

It's a poker game, the U.S. still has a royal flush, and Canada has nothing but King high and a bluff.

Hopefully NATO would come to Canada’s defense if there were an unprovoked military attack on Canada, and hold off their defeat until we remove Donny from office and try him for war crimes.

I wouldn't call it unprovoked. I would say at this Canada is provoking a U.S. response.

NATO barely exists without the U.S. The only reason Ukraine hasn't been completely defeated yet is because it's not really a Russia-Ukraine war, it's a Russia-U.S. proxy war. A war we shouldn't be in.

But if the U.S. really went full bore, NATO isn't stopping the U.S. military. Heck if the U.S. joined forces with China, a war against Canada would be over in weeks.

Young Canadians are coming around to the idea that their future is America. A few moves here and there and it won't be long before a majority of Canadians will want their homeland to become the 51st state.

I am seeing reports on X of American citizens who live in southern Canada being targeted by Canadian troops as we speak.

    I kid, I kid.

I agree with you. The problem will be that the Canadian political elite, who are basically communist light, will not give up their control willingly. They will suppress the will of their people to keep their power and authority. We might need to use military force to free Canadians at some point.

I'll admit I didn't view Canada as a potential enemy until last week. But can you not see that their actions the last few days have revealed themselves?

They only seem to want to be friends of the U.S. as long as Canada can take advantage of us. It might be an abusive relationship that Trump is finally revealing.

This is why the US National Anthem is being boo'd at NHL hockey games in Canada? Because Canadians want to become part of the US? Truly laugh inducing.

And maybe someone should look up energy imports from Canada to the US. Lots of natural gas and uranium come from Canada. They aren't powerless when it comes to bargaining chips against the US.

In this scenario, Canada/NATO doesn't have to defeat the US, they just to resist the unprovoked attack long enough that Trump is arrested, kills himself, or is taken out by a patriotic American.

I personally don't want them to be part of the US because OBVIOUSLY the whole operation would be very messy and very costly. But MAGA doesn't care about real things like cost, they just want to give the Big Douche a big reach around, so they "baa" and approve stupid ideas like the sheep they are.

What an embarrassing OP; it lessens us as a nation that people like you are part of it. Canada isn’t the problem; Donald Trump and his enablers like the gender-switching Haitian-hating misogynist OP are the real, what did you call them, “enemies”?

Why is it hard for MAGA to understand that a country with almost 300,000,000 less people is going to have a trade imbalance with America?

That our 335 million people need more of what they have, then their 40 million need of ours.

    Simple supply and demand.

There's no way I'm reading all that but I assume it discusses dropping tactical nukes on Canada and that I support. They've been America's hat for too long. I'm ready for a bald America
