Quan Lee really wants a UF offer. He’s a good fall back plan B/C type of WR

We are done at TE? I would guess because most staffs recruiting against us are not going to be overruled or considered negative recruiters to say we already have two TEs in the class.

I wish we knew if Livingston is close to the 265lbs listed on Rivals. I'm too lazy to watch film but if he's going to be an OT I hope it's already clear he has great feet and agility. I would just like to know his current weight.

UF should maintain 9 to 10 WRs on the roster each season, a 2 deep and developmental players:

UF has 10 WRs on the 2021 roster:

    Ja'Quavion Fraziers - So
    Jacob Copeland - RJr
    Xzavier Henderson - So
    Justin Shorter - RJr
    Rick Wells - RSr
    Trent Whittemore - RSo
    Daejon Reynolds - Fr
    Ja'Markis Weston - RSo
    Jordan Pouncey - RSr
    Marcus Burke - Fr

    Looking ahead to 22:

    Jacob Copeland - Gone/NFL
    Justin Shorter - Gone/NFL
    Rick Wells - Gone
    Jordan Pouncey - Gone

Needs for the 22 class: 10-4=6+3=9 so 3 WRs for 22 if Mullen wants to carry 9 and 4 WRs if Mullen wants to carry 10. Hope we get a commitment from Evan Stewart which would put the 22 UF roster at 9 plus leave open the possibility of 1 additional slot for a WR.

Me? I'd carry 9 on the roster and use the 10th ship for another position if it has a greater need. However, that decision is why Dan Mullen makes the big bucks.

last available highlights of him at TE was from 2019 and he def doesnt have a future there. I don’t think he’s fast enough to be a TE but he’s athletic enough for it to work at OT

Why are we so late offering Carnell Tate? He has numerous offers from top schools, has visited other schools and attended Ole Miss' camp, and is highly rated. He already has CBs to Notre Dame and Ohio State. If UF had offered earlier, he might have come to FNL. Without a visit to UF, this has no chance. Of course, there is a long way to go for the 23 class. Just curious, being an IMG player, does anyone know where Tate calls home?

Tate would have looked good in the 23 class with Raymond Cottrell. Both are 6'2" WRs with Cottrell being about 20 lbs. heavier. Cottrell is another WR who runs track. He's not yet as fast as Bond and Smith, but he has a year to work on it.

UF is carrying 5 TEs on the roster:

    Kemore Gamble RSr
    Keon Zipperer Jr
    Jonathan Odom RFr
    Nick Elksnis Fr
    Gage Wilcox Fr

Since UF took 2 in the last class and only looks to lose 1, Gamble, I think UF is done at TE for the 22 class. Could be wrong, but I don't think UF loses both Gamble and Zipperer. UF also has a highly ranked TE in the 23 class.

Tony Livingston is a multi year project at OT. With him playing basketball in high school too, 260-265, he'll need a couple of years to beef up before he'll see time on the field, maybe in his 3rd year. 247 Sports has him projected as an OT that could blossom into a 4-7 round NFL draft pick.

He transferred to IMG from Marist HS in Chicago. Bucknut U & ND will likely be on the front row.

Quan Lee is not as fast as the other two 22 WR commitments, but still fast. Think I'd rather hold for 23 or get a 22 eligible transfer. He decommitted Miami so must have talent, but he has a checkered offer sheet at best. Saw he plays CB too. Does he have the hips to play CB in college? If Lee gets into UF as a WR, I'll be surprised.

on field game speed he has is different from timed speed. Also what’s held him back is not being able to camp and the comp there in Gainesville. Like i said, he isn’t a plan A guy, but if we were to miss on Gibson (im starting to wane on him) and Stew, I’d give him a hard look. After slow playing Jay Fair and him going to Auburn, don’t see us being able to circle back in attempts to flip him.

as i explained a while back, Quan decommited from Miami because they pushed him out because he committed and said he’d shut his recruitment down but tried to secretly take a trip to UCF but that got exposed and they gave him the boot.

If Lee is a closet UCF fan, is there the possibility he'd love to play the hometown school and then crow about it afterwards?

UF has one, two at most, slots left for the 22 class. As I stated above, it would be one and done with me, but that's why Mullen makes the big bucks.

If Lee gets in the 22 class, it would be because Stewart stays in Texas and we didn't get a commit interest from any other high ranked WR. I can see Lee sliding in come December ESP if Mullen wants to give the hometown player a chance after Mullen has exhausted his efforts with high schoolers. Otherwise, I don't see Lee in the class.

I think we had a discussion on this in another thread yesterday. Check your alerts.

If Livingston is playing QB who knows what he could do as a Gator? Love the guy, just wish we had two other good OTs committed.
