Will be more than satisfied w Wilson, Mizell and Williams. But I will say that I HOPE that Napier puts an O style on the field that can get us in the discussion w most all the top rated WRs in Florida in the future. It’s disgusting to see how other schools come in and poach Sunshine state players.

I assume the Williams you're talking about is Tyler Williams. I don't hear much about him. Anybody have an idea of what's going on with him?

Tyler is not mentioning UF in recent discussions of OVs and top teams.

Bond has special speed. We aren't in on anybody that has quite that speed.

Bond is much faster than Mizell. He ran 10.48 and 21.04 his junior year. He was on pace for 10.2 and 20.5 this past year when he got hurt. He anchored a 40.05 4x100 relay this year and got hurt in his next race that same day. At the time the fastest 4x100 in the US

I get it. Bond was crazy. Was just thinking who was fast that we are targeting.

That 0.3 to 0.5 difference in 100m times rarely translates to superiority as an outside WR. The ability to beat man coverage, track the ball on a deep route, jump and catch it at its highest point, then land on your feet in stride is far more important than world class track speed. I’d take all that with a guy that runs 10.7 to 11.1 plus a great shuttle, and weight room numbers over the skinny track star any day of the week.

Best WR in this class runs a 4.6 40.

That is true. I was just responding to tommyvee’s ? About Mizell being as fast as Bond. Bond however is a heck of a football player

Getting open and catching the ball is kinda important. Straight line speed is nice but Jerry Rice wasn’t really fast.

Was it Smith that left our class and signed with UGA? He had a faster 100 time than Bonds had, last year.

At one point in the recruiting cycle, we had the fastest team. The CB from TX was one of the fastest but he signed with UGA.

I would take 6 Van Jefferson transfers for our wide receiver room over most any of the top wide receivers we have not gotten over the passed 3 recruiting seasons (provided we have a QB who can get him the ball). He really made db look silly with his great route running.

Smith is super fast, but he wasn't a big part of the offense at Lakeland or at Uga last year. Georgia probably used him about right. He can get behind defenses or outrun on counters, but he likely is never going to be their go-to receiver.

What Bond becomes, who knows? But Bama wanted him, and they usually want the best athlete they can get.

You're thinking of Arian. Chandler is the one who left our class last year (this year, really, as he was a 22 recruit) and signed with UGA. He will be a true freshman this year

Forgot that Chandler Smith ended up at Georgia. He is definitely very fast also. Maybe more of a football player than Arian Smith also. The speed of Georgia's drafted players this year was insane.
