Wide Receiver WR & Tight End TE recruiting 2022 and beyond discussion thread

Can someone give me a quick scouting report on Pearsall? His numbers last year can basically be described as "fine," but ASU did not exactly have the most dynamic passing offense around (Jayden Daniels's stats make Emory look like Mahomes). We're obviously in need of competent receivers on the depth chart, so I won't look askance at the guy, but is that basically what we can expect from him -- competence? Or is there upside there?

 

Wonder why he was even considering Auburn?

He’s Top 5 on this transfer list. Sounds like another Trent Whittemore type to me.

The word: Pearsall trimmed his options down to Auburn, Florida and Oregon this week, according to Jacob Rudner of Swamp247. Pearsall also spoke to Rudner about what helped the Gators make that cut (VIP). A product of Tempe (Ariz.) Corona Del Sol, Pearsall was a three-star recruit and the No. 151 wide receiver in the 2019 signing class, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite rankings.

In 2021, Pearsall caught 48 passes for 580 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 44 yards and a score. In his three-year career at Arizona State, Pearsall totaled 61 catches for 794 yards and five touchdowns.
