Why Tariffs Were Really Dropped

I figured the admin would capitulate. Really just because the effects like this are such an obvious betrayal. So many people thought this guy was going to lower their grocery bill. It’s sad.

But this dude reeeeeaaaalllllllyyy loves playing that tariff card. I was surprised it only lasted 1 day and 500 points. I figured a couple of weeks and maybe some real effects. I’m sure it won’t be the last time either…

Perhaps, you could explain how the concessions from Mexico and Canada are different than their already announced proposals or what they have been doing for years. Or, perhaps, you could explain why Trump framed this as a necessary economic move only to back off of it within a day (after the markets collapsed). Or, perhaps, you could try to make any sort of a substantive comment about Trump's tariffs and their quick "suspension."

 

Liberals are delusional. Mexico sending 10,000 troops to the border is a big deal.

 

Would you please tell me how many troops Mexico sent to their borders in 2024? 2023? 2021? 2019?

That doesn't really answer the questions. But if it is such a big deal, why has it happened 5 times in 7 years now? Seems like a pretty common occurrence, right?

 

Mexican troops on the border is theater for the uneducated. They accomplish nothing but a photo op. 10k troops have been in the Mexican side of the border for years.

Between the bribe money coming from Mexican resort towns and the cartels, the v Mexican troops aren't going to harass US citizens. Nor will they stop any truck from entering. And most drugs enter the US either as contraband on trucks, or by US citizen mules.

Troops won't stop anyone from entering the US either. They don't care.
