We only have one retired jersey for Gator basketball. Why no recognition of that? Shouldn't we have a banner or jersey hanging for that? Actually a Gator hoopster wore 41 for one game during the Sloane era. Hint: A Gator football walk-on.
11 for Vernon Maxwell for what he did on the court, but too many other issues. Incredible player, but too many other issues. 55 for JWill, but he didn't even play a complete season. 42 for Horford makes sense. He was the best player from the O4's. I say we should retire 42 to go with 41 and have a ceremony.
@akaGatorhoops, If you really have Stricklin's ear we really need to do something for Neal Walk being the only Gator to ever have a number retired. There really should be a jersey hanging in the rafters somewhere. And maybe do the same for Horford. Doing them at the same time would be awesome. And if it was against UK at a home game with BD and Al and family from Neil on the court that would be the best ever. Maybe suggest this to Bill Koss and see what he can do.
