I don’t know much about him. Sounds like a stand up guy.

But politically, he seems pretty much down the line hard core liberal - I don’t know if that really adds anything to the ticket. Also, perhaps unfairly he carries some of the Minneapolis baggage - and while the destruction of the downtown area may have been viewed as a righteous act of protest by those on the far left most of the rest of the country doesn’t support lawlessness in any form, and bringing that into the campaign does not help Harris, and brings this into even more focus

I disagree to an extent. Kamala is viewed as VERY liberal, which is going to be told to us repeatedly, loudly. I think the ticket needs some balance and very much needs a more classic moderate. (Also, selfishly, I’d prefer someone on the ticket at least approximates my general political proclivities.)
