I agree. Plus he is a good speaker and young enough that in 8 years he'll be a good candidate if Harris makes two terms. Would be good long term planning. Therefore my bet is, par for the course, the Democrats will go with someone else. lol

Kelly is originally from New Jersey, if that helps.

I would go with Shapiro over Kelly simply because of geography. But both are solid choices, and yes, Kelly was born just outside of Newark. Not exactly a white collar area. Kelly is also a veteran, former astronaut, and his support of his wife, Gabby Giffords, makes Kelly a genuine likable kind of guy. And Kelly likely delivers Arizona for the Ds. Kelly ticks a lot of boxes, and would be a solid choice as VP.

I've been thinking and leaning Shapiro, but this author (from Arizona Republic) has some arguments in support of Kelly. I feel like he probably overstates the importance of Kelly's parents both being cops. But I do think it might be good to have someone with the experience of living and governing in a border state.

Kelly has moved into the lead (Vegas odds) with Shapiro a close second. Both would be excellent and bring solid experience. Very happy with either.

Will there be pushback on Shapiro because he's Jewish? Will that push the pro-Palestinian nut jobs to not vote? Interested to see who Harris picks.

I’d like it if holding the blue wall of Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin wasn’t an absolute must for Harris.

I want Tim Walz. Knew almost nothing about him before a week ago. But he's been the most impressive of all the people vying for the job.

3rd best odds now. No clue what he was a week ago but it wasn't in the top 8 or so

He's a great speaker and is getting the messaging right. It also doesn't hurt that he's a vet, a retired teacher and football coach, and comes from rural America.

Personally, I hope she picks Wes Moore, Gov of Maryland.. Maybe, Pete Buttigieg because that would be right in line with Alcoholic Nancy and the rest of her cronies.

It will be one of those two imo. Shapiro is the strategic pick since he is from Penn but recent rumors of sexual harassment isnt doing him any good and means there are sharp elbows flying in the VP horse race

Shapiro might help Kamala steal votes in Penn but Trump leads beyond the margin of fraud. It's over.

    Drunk this early?

Also what is "beyond the level of fraud"? Still can't accept trump got his ass beat by Biden? Tough nut to swallow knowing trump is just that incompetent.

My opinion is that if she picks Kelly from Arizona, she wins the election.
