As to the thread topic, my wife thinks Arizona Senator and former astronaut Mark Kelly would be a great pick for VP and I agree. His wife Gabby Giffords would be a big plus on the campaign trail also.

I know some in the D party are tempted to push for a Buttigeig or a Whitmer. She'll have a better chance if she picks a straight white male from a swing state. e.g. Kelly

Shapiro brings more electoral college votes. Without considering that, I think Kelly would be a great choice. But Shapiro polls well in Pennsylvania and she really needs the help in PA, MI, and WI.

As the polling stands now, all Trump has to do is win PA and he is the president.

I think Shapiro gives them the best chance of winning.
