If you took all the shortcomings of Muschamp (terrible offense, stubborn, wouldn't fire bad coaches), Mac (just not ready for the big time, bad play caller, boring) and Mullen (defense, ST disasters, stubborn wouldn't fire his friends) and rolled them into one coach it would be Napier. He the amalgamation of bad football.
He was supposed to give up play calling duties after last year’s sh*t show. He’s too stubborn and it’s going to get him fired. The only question is will the boosters allow him to finish out the year.
You know you are a dead man walking when you have to spend time explaining away how you insulted Gator fans during the press conference right after YOU break all kinds of records and streaks nobody ever wanted to see broken. He's toast. Just a matter of time.
There is probably a level of sobriety that is required to type some meaningful letters on his keyboard which he is still not capable of...He is going to need a wide birth for some time.
Sounded like uninformed not sarcasm and you still missed GM run the read option in the 1st Q. Just trying to be helpful. FTR i was correct you didnt see/know DJ run the play several times. I’ll refrain from further input while reading about the calamity disguised as gator football
This forum must be special as I’ve seen the word amalgamation used twice in two days in the same forum. I’m impressed!
Not necessarily incorrect, just that if they think they can put lipstick on a pig by spending massive funds to "upgrade" the Swamp and just got finished spending money for the football facility and then turn around and become Nouveau-Vandy, the "traditional" funds - fannies in the seats and massive stuff buying - WILL go away. Now if they have a plan to put on symphony concerts during halftime while serving chilled chardonnay, well then let's see!
Lucky people on that cruise when he sees Saturdays result....not sure who jumps overboard...them or him.
7 wins would be a HUUUGE seasons for the Gators at this point. we could beat: Texas AM UCF Georgia Ole Miss Texas Tennessee Florida State I DO NOT THINK WE WILL WIN THESE GAMES, MAKING POINT. and lose to Missouri, Samford, UCF AND still have a 7 win season with I guess 5 or 6 losses? Sorry lacking sleep. My point is a 6 win schedule for us from this point would be sick. I’m again, not saying it’s happening, but if it did, would be amazing.
Well, that would be just perfect, wouldn’t it? Losing to Missouri in a year we don’t even play Missouri. Surely, that has to be an on-the-spot termination event, right?
If I had to bet, He gone. The bar is was/is low given the difficulty of the schedule. Just play competitive games. Close loses against this schedule would have been seen as progress. Based on the first game, seems like there is going to be a lot of blow outs which leads to more chatter which leads to recruiting falling apart. And you can’t give another year if there isn’t any progress that can be pointed to in any facet of the program.
Can we really blame him, I’m a lifelong teetotaler and I was tempted heavily after watching that performance live.
