    Give me a break.

Do you think one of his assistants is going to take this roster and do better?

Steve Spurrier and Urban Meyer aren't going to suit up next week.

Yeah. They are going to "pull the funding" the minute we lose to UCF.

What world are you living in?

Re assistants: I can't imagine anyone doing much worse than Billy, and I'm a big believer in creativity prompted by incentive.

Give an assistant coach the opportunity to show the world something (his incentive--which he may then parlay into a fat gig here or elsewhere...), and I'd be more surprised if he faceplanted, than if he shown.

As for Spurs n urbs: I'd let them tell me no. I would not presume it. And they get first first IF they want it.

    ...course that's just me.

I’m afraid many folks on this board are setting themselves up for some potential disappointment. I don’t see any way Kiffin comes and we’ll very likely wind up with another underwhelming hire. Whoever this is may exceed expectations, but Gator Nation will probably be pretty divided. Not trying to be Debbie Downer; just giving my own .02.

I agree. People are getting really excited about certain candidates and I'm not seeing it happen.

Yes sir . . . Wanting to do something and being the right time to do something are different issues.

Make Napier face the music each and every week through the rest of the season. These are his players, his staff and his mess. You can't hire another coach right now anyway so you may as well ride it out.

Mike Norvell ($65M buyout) is a clear example of how players can make the coach. Watching some FSU games, their receivers and tight end are horrible. Can't catch a cold and shouldn't even be playing on an FBS program.

Too bad Hard Rock doesn't have this listed.

The largest funder of all Uf NIL has posted on TOS that he is done funding Napier. He said this in his own words after the Miami game. His name is on a UF sports complex and he posts all the time. Was a huge believer in Napier. Was Mr Positive. Has pictures of himself eating with and hanging with Napier over his twitter feed. He said his ROI is poor based on how much he has contributed and wants a change.

That is an example of pulling the funding.

It might be that both Napier and Norvell end up getting fired after the UF – FSU game. Depending on how the rest of the season goes for both of them, I don’t know if a victory in that game would save their job.

My biggest concern with Joey is that I don’t trust him to not use this opportunity simply to troll us. He’s never done anything to suggest he likes UF. He’s done plenty to suggest he doesn’t

Very few schools can afford to buy out a coach at $65M and I don't think FSU is one of them.

Well I hope we can. They lost to Toledo by almost the same score we lost to Miami. If we lose to MSU, the end will be here before Napier hits the tarmac. They are said to be the worst team in the SEC. Otherwise, we will probably start shopping now, but keep Napier and his players around until much later in the season.

True, except schools don't buy out coaches at fsu, Spanx does.

Many inside the program has said it’s his dream job. Now I’m not sure if it still is now that he has a cushy gig, but he wanted it the last two times we were in the market.
