Where do you rate Lane Kiffin as a coach at this point of his career?

I think he's figured out he doesn't want a bigger job, wants to be at a school where 9 wins is cause for celebration, he turned down Auburn because Auburn wants titles.

There are other championships to be won, .....Fisher has an NC, Kelly has been to the SEC Championship game, the National Championship game, won the MAC at CMU and 2 FCS national titles. Heupel won an AAC championship at UCF. Napier a Sunbelt championship at Louisiana. Drinkwitz has a Sunbelt title. Freeze won a championship at Arky State.

Just because Kiffy knows how to sling the ball all over the field and show off, doesn't mean he's a good head coach (or person). Maybe he won't end up like Mullen or the Pirate if he ever learns that there are more phases to the game than just offense.

Florida Atlantic Owls

On December 12, 2016, Kiffin accepted the head coaching position at Florida Atlantic University. After a 1–3 start, the FAU Owls reeled off ten straight wins, culminating in the Conference USA (C-USA) football championship against University of North Texas, 41–17, on their home field. In 2019, Kiffin once again led FAU to a 10-win season and a second C-USA championship.

Yep...I forgot he coached there. I just don't want him anywhere near my football team. Regardless of how entertaining his offenses are, the clown show defenses make me think he would be great in the Big 12.

 

You don't know why he turned down the Barn.

Auburn's corrupt program and booster manipulation is absolutely awful. I wouldn't go to the "shittiest little village on the plains" either. What a crappy, nothing town.

 

I certainly would give him a D when he was at Tennessee, But now at Ole Miss I’d give him a B minus to maybe a C. He has time and opportunity to get a higher grade from Me.

 

At this point, no better than Mullen. Good OC. Good Offense. Exciting to watch and wins a bunch of games, while losing all the ones that really matter. Call me when he wins a SECC.

Can't believe there were some here who were calling for him to be our coach.
I would never want someone like him representing this team.

 

Ole miss already had their chance and after an early score, never found the endzone again.

I was going with a grade of B right now. He is still a pud but can coach offense.
If he ever got a good or great DC his team could go somewhere.

Not sure he could handle it at Bama, UGA, UF, UT, Ok, or LSU.

Ole Miss doesn’t have microscopes on their campus. That’s why Huh Freeze ran wild there.
