The economy is booming in terms of job growth, low unemployment and a great stock market. That's a fact.

But you're correct that people are hurting due to high prices. Post-Covid inflation was world-wide as renewed demand overwhelmed interrupted supply lines.

While this wasn't Biden's fault, he and Kamala Harris paid the price on election day.

Where did I tell anyone they were imagining things?

I am not saying things will go down. What I am saying is sure the inflation has slowed, but that is not helping people that can no longer buy a new car or a house. The damage has already been done from the last 3 years. For people that already owned a home sure they have gained value so maybe the trade off is not so bad. That does not help the younger people and new families that are trying to get to the point of having a home and family. Or even the single working people that are trying to pay crazy rent prices on a one bedroom apartment.

    Correct.

When running against Obama, Trump claimed the Bureau of Labor Statistics data showing months of good job growth and increasingly low unemployment were "fake news".

Then, when he was in office, Trump cited the SAME Bureau of Labor Statistics data as proof that he had the best economy ever. That was a LIE of course. Obama's last 3 years in office were BETTER THAN Trump's first 3 years in office.

So you want to see a Spielberg movie based on internment camps. That's your answer? I'm somewhat discouraged with voters right now, but nowhere near that miserable as to wish that. But you do you as best you can.

Yea I’m not against some regulation on big pharma. Hard part is over regulating it which government does too often.

    I don’t want to stifle R&D though.

Well sport I conveyed my worry about you, but what other worry about you should I have? My worries about myself are mostly the standard old-age stuff.

Maybe he misspoke about which campaign. But Trump definitely had a theme that “numbers are faked” during Obama’s Presidency whenever good numbers came out. Several posters here were big into that. They’ve tried that narrative more than a few times w/ Biden admin too, so not sure why you’d doubt.

There’s a poster that often posts a chart survey showing how Republicans perceived the economy on Trumps inauguration, how many thought the present economy was strong. The shift was something crazy, like going from 30% to 70% overnight even though literally nothing had statistically changed. Whereas the dem perspective on economic conditions at the time was largely unchanged. That chart really showed the two realities and belief in fake numbers.

This article from March 2017 comes immediately to mind.
19 times Trump called jobs numbers ‘fake’ before they made him look good
We may assume President Trump is quite pleased with the strong jobs report from his first full month in office: He retweeted the Drudge Report's triumphant “GREAT AGAIN” framing of the numbers Friday morning, after touting employment figures released by payroll firm ADP earlier in the week.

Not so long ago, however, Trump's view of the monthly jobs report, which comes courtesy of the nonpartisan federal Bureau of Labor Statistics, was markedly different. As recently as December, he described the report as “totally fiction.”

They'll hint at progress due to the election, but it won't fully change until Jan. 20, when it will miraculously make a 180* turn.
