When the debate participants were asked by a show of hands who would not support if he were convicted of a crime, DeSantis did not raise his. (Only Christie and Hutchinson did.) What further proof does anyone need that the GOP has hit rock bottom, and that those seeking the nomination are unworthy of the Presidency?

Bill Nelson lost to Voldemort at the top of the ticket, so I'm not so sure any Democrat would have won that governor's race.

    Bottom? There is no bottom.

Devil’s advocate. Those that raised their hand to support Trump as the nominee, regardless of conviction, is reflective of each believing the justice system is corrupt and the charges are a political persecution. You can “indict a ham sandwich”.

They love the First Amendment. Especially how it requires private people to allow any speech on their forums, property or in their businesses. No matter how offensive. In truth, Owing to the tendency of those in power to abuse that power to suppress different ideas and if large bases of people to support it, the framers in there very First Amendment prohibited such conduct by government. You can’t force speech or ideas or punish them. So, this type of bill or exactly what the framers intended. We can see from public support for these kinds of laws or for Reedy Creek the fundamental support for a shift away from free speech to dictatorial government.

It's true, it's rare for a grand jury not to return an indictment. The difference here is the person indicted is a former president. Ms. Willis spent over two years making sure the EVIDENCE showed crimes had been committed. Two grand juries heard testimony from scores of witnesses. I'm sure Ms. Willis wants Trump's sorry ass to be convicted. I'm even more sure she wouldn't have sought an indictment unless the EVIDENCE pointed unequivocally to criminal behavior.

Pence’s response to Ramaswamy was classic Pence… paraphrasing: you assume he will be convicted. We do not offer pardons without understanding the crime and of the individual has shown acceptance of responsibility of the crime.

furthermore, how is Ramaswamy thinking he can grant presidential pardon for state crimes?

I liked Hutchinson pulling his brand new copy of the constitution (pocket edition) and comment about the 14th amendment and insurrection. That was hilarious to hear the booooos.

It’s ironic because of how much DeSantis hates California, and because Broward County blames its loss of tourism on DeSantis.

That was the only glaring thing about Haley that I found unreasonable. I hated hearing her statement re: the “politicized DOJ”.
I’m hoping that was a tactical statement only.

I think it is. But we'll still need this thread because he'll still have more than 3 years left in his quest to ruin Florida.
