Ron DeSantis gets tough news from new poll

Per a survey of 2,000 voters nationwide, the Republican-leaning pollster Cygnal—which holds an 'A' rating with poll aggregator FiveThirtyEight—DeSantis is now the preferred option of just 10 percent of the electorate, and is running virtually neck-and-neck with Ramaswamy (11 percent).
Trump, meanwhile, remains the clear leader of the Republican field, holding steady as the top pick of 53 percent of the GOP base.

 

Brutal. Also Ran-Ron is sinking fast. He was The Guy. Now headed for single digits.

 

This won’t stop him. One thing you can say about DeSantis is that he is honest about his ideology. He really is as far to the right as he appears to be.

It's great to see that his campaign of hate and intolerance isn't working, though I know that's mostly because Trump has the hate and intolerance vote locked up.

 

If there was an investigation like the one in Georgia, Does anyone doubt that DeSantis would remove the prosecutor. He was emboldened when the Florida Supreme Court in the Warren decision made up an “unreasonable delay” basis for its ruling, criticized Warren for going into federal court and spent it’s opinion arguing against the obviously correct reasoning of the federal court. And in no way is this suspension supported as malfeasance. His suspensions to date, whether state attorneys or school boards or election officials have been of elected democrats. And too many for reasons unrelated to integrity issues. And adding these anti-democratic actins to theNo bid contracts awarded to companies who follow his ideology, the fiat to the state to defend his illegal laws. and his use of state resources to campaign, he ought to be removed from office.

For a second year in a row, students in Alachua County schools didn't have the correct textbooks at the start of the school year despite a plethora of books being approved by the school board and ordered by the district.

That's because the Florida Department of Education has once again blocked more books from finding their way to the school.

Gov. Ron DeSantis and his administration have cracked down on contents found in textbooks over the past two years, rejecting dozens they say are inappropriate and teach students about critical race theory, slavery and LGBTQ issues. Though the administration has yet to provide specific examples of what issues are being found in the books, it leaves districts around Florida − which ranks 14th in education − with a limited supply to choose from.

They should change the name of the book 1984 to 2023. Just do a search and replace and change the year.
