How about, "I am an amateur and the coaches are professionals, I do hope Stricklin got it right this time." Who, I can also say, is a professional and not an academician with an advocation.

Again, for whatever reason us fans don't want to believe, Mr. Analyst/Not Scared has decided that this is the preferable calculation and not yours. Besides beating a dead horse, what else is there?

You can also argue having #51 for uk would have changed the outcome

Yeah I know. Just kidding. I want AR to succeed and I think he would be doing much better in a 2nd year in mullens offense. I also think he will get better under Napier as well but that Kentucky game was horrific. Was all mental though

Besides Ventrell Miller, would any of our Safeties or Linebackers start for any of the teams we played this year? Maybe a few would start for Eastern Washington, IMO

Clearly it is their preferred calculation. But it’s also the most underperforming defense relative to talent in the country, and perhaps ever. We have at least 1 2023 first round pick, and we probably have 4-5 top 3 round guys playing big minutes right now.

And we have arguably the worst defense in the nation this year.

This is not the hill for the “coaches know best” folks to die on.

Yes if I called plays, hell if you just let VMiller call plays, we would most likely be better. Why? Because it is mathematically impossible to be worse. So just by sheer randomness we may be better.

I don’t think you are fully grasping how historically bad this defense is.

Safety is crazy weak. James would get some playing time.

That being said we may have the best DL and Corner group out of any team we’ve played so far

Stop trying everything. Run one thing well. Sub younger dudes. Blitz and man more. Watch other first year coaches who have less talent doing it better

This is absolutely what I would do against Bennett and Georgia next week. Georgia doesn't have a single WR that scares anyone, and their running game has been suspect at times. If you watch the Missouri game, the O-line had issues with protection for Bennett, and Missouri was able to keep him rattled. Stack the front, allow the safeties to play up close, and force Bennett to beat you with his arm.

But here's the problem, we have absolutely no answer for any of their TE's or Bennett's ability to stretch the field with his legs. Committing a spy leaves less coverage, and Bennett lives on slants, short outs to RB's, and quick reads. He struggles stretching the field, question is does Florida have the personnel to exploit it?

Offensively, Richardson has to start quick with some easy reads and designed runs, the key is keeping his confidence high. You cannot let things get out of hand like they did last year, otherwise this game could be over by the half.

Simple answer? Blitz and blitz often. The only thing saving this defense is big plays. That and play a lot of man. These guys stink in zone.

I saw horrible tackling on many of the running plays. Especially when the back turned the play up the sidelines. Either it was physical mismatch or just bad form/technique. The other thing I saw was not enough Gators swarming to the ball. Another defender in the play can finish off a bad tackle.

Yes, I do.....AND....it is still beating a dead horse. Have you finished, or are there some pieces that still look like a horse that you have to obliterate?
