My posting history isn't great, but that's because I refuse to argue in good faith with people who aren't reciprocating (all of MAGA). If they want an 8th-grade insult contest, I'm more than willing. As I am if you are willing to argue/discuss in good faith. So, take that for what it's worth.

IDK man, it's not like I make mean faces and purposely ignore them. Not being rhetorical, but in public it's kind of the way you deal with a special needs person. Limit the contact. Try not to trigger them. And obviously this would be people who are overtly MAGA and advertising it. If they aren't projecting, but mention MAGA things, time to cut that conversation short and limit the damage. I'd say the same thing about someone who was ultra-woke.

Crazy is crazy and MAGA is crazy. IMO, we're in a decade comparable to the 30s and the last thing I'm going to do is put crazy morons in charge. So I'll have to hope for milquetoast D's and hope the rest of us can keep them pinned to the center until MAGA dies and we can get some real leadership.

I feel you on the first sentence. I own my existense here and not very proud of it. Its good to know some people still have enough humility to know their faults.

I can't fault you for your logic if people are unwilling to have a conversation in good faith. I would offer caution that nobody owns objective reality so sometimes its just a difference in opinions, lifestyle, religion, faith etc. I don't believe in God but a lot of things some conservatives believe in stem from their faith in God and whats in the book. So a lot of times its not about being against you, they are just for their own beliefs. Just like opinions on abortion. Personally, Im for free-choice but I wouldn't ever make that choice even if I were the women. At some level, you are killing a lifeform that would have had an existence. To some people, that is inhumane. To others, it's a womens choice. Back in the day things were normal and legal, today not so much. So its tough to sit here on my high horse and tell anyone how to live their life or to blame them for how they vote especially if I don't know why. Just my two cents, not worth a penny around here but what can ya do? ;)

I appreciate you responding in good faith though.

"Way" too long? With multiple a's and y's for emphasis? Is how you pronounce words so reading takes you longer?

Don't worry, I wouldn't expect you of all people to take the time out for a 15 second read. Remember, you were the one who said you don't read or care about peoples posts if you don't agree with them. You're on a message board and refusing to do the one thing you're supposed to do on said message board.

At least get chatgpt and pretend.

I understand how my comment might have come across as dismissive, and I’m sorry if it upset you. That definitely wasn’t my intention. Sometimes I just find it hard to get through long pieces, but I do respect that it’s something important to you. If you’d like, I’d be happy to discuss it or hear more about why it matters!

Yet they think there's a political solution for abortion, that government is the answer. Why not just focus on the "other" choice and a hearts and mind campaign? Present this theory and it's rejected offhand. I don't know what to do with that mindset, and at this point I just give up.

Further, they may not have the government option if these state ammendments keep passing.

Look, Im not sure Im the one you need to be talking to if a 15 second read is a "long piece".

Maybe you should spend more time with Hooked on Phonics than in this message board. Just a little pro tip for you.

It sounds like you're frustrated. I see what you're saying, and I can tell you're trying to make a point. Honestly, I don’t think it’s about the time—sometimes I just struggle with longer pieces. I’m always up for improving my reading habits, though! I appreciate the suggestion, but I’d probably prefer to focus on what works best for me right now. Thanks for looking out for me!
