In that perspective, we could reasonably lose nine games if we aren’t a top 15 team. It’s gonna be rough.

Start out 6-0 ( I think Vols are overrated) and finish 1-5.

 

That’s what I’m hoping for and I would condo that a job well done.

If we don’t go 4-5 in those games we should move on. In Y3 we should be competitive in that tier. If we can’t compete with T35 teams (including UCF and MSU) by now he’s the wrong coach. 5-6 vs that group is the minimum. And that isn’t even good, it’s still a laughingstock, it’s below .500 against peers.

 

9 ranked teams. That’s not normal. Expecting to go 4-5 against that group is a tall order con we have some many question marks.

 

Who's to say we are peers with ranked teams? Nine ranked opponents. Are we peers based on our past? Our recruiting, which in this day and age is extremely uncertain?

 

It’s a tall order because we stink. A top 25 team should be able to go 5-6 vs our P5 schedule. In Y3 we should be a top 25 team by play.

 

If we want to be Vandy we should come out and just say it. We seem to have an athletic budget that says that we want to be in a major conference.

But if we are so bad in Y3 that UCF, Miss St, Kentucky, etc aren’t a “peer” then we clearly need to clean house.

 

so make your list. I doubt many teams ranked 15 to 25 are going to get seven lens or better out of that schedule

 

They would be in that range literally by definition. If you go under 500 vs teams in the 15-25 range then you aren’t 15-25

UF should be able to go 4-3 or 3-4 at worst vs:

If we aren’t average in that mix in Y3 that is a severe problem

Those 7 teams had an average FPI of 18th last year. So if we are in that range we should basically split it 3-4 or 4-3
