Very good question and points made. He is in good physical shape, from all accounts and has access to the best healthcare known to man, so he has some help. That said, cognitive breakdown only accelerates from this point forward, with or without history of brain aneurisms.

In 5 years Joe Biden will probably be like " I can't believe they ran Trump against me again. Lol"

Exactly what is wrong with Kamala Harris that you would need to drop her and change running mates? She hasn't been convicted of anything and she isn't even close to being accused of anything. That's the only time I would even suggest it.

On her becoming prez should anything happen to Biden, I'm not worried.

Based on age adjusted life expectancy rather than life expectancy at birth statistically Biden should live close to another nine years.
    Actuarial Life Table
While Biden did have a two serious brain aneurysms in 1988 from which he fully recovered while rather serious I'm not sure whether than single event constitutes a "history". Keep in mind that his likely opponent is only three years younger and at least based on his appearance is grossly obese.

Thank you, @FutureGatorMom , for confirming exactly why replacing Harris won't work.

I'm curious, have you ever favored us with a similar post about Trump, complete with snippets of his utterances?
PS: I'll save you a response: yes, I'm deflecting, but to show the hypocrisy. You aren't really concerned about the suitability of a president to govern.

Funny, but that's exactly what I heard in 2020 from a couple of R friends, i. e. that Biden would resign after the election turning the job over to Harris. I laughed. Didn't happen then won't happen next election ether.

I haven't favored you with a similar post about Trump, because it wouldn't be analogous to Biden's condition. Trump isn't perfect and drifts at times, but he does not have the advantage of teleprompters, cue cards and 50+ years in politics. Trump is still charismatic and cohesive enough to draw 50,000+ crowds in small southern towns on a hot Saturday afternoon in July. Last I checked, Trump hasn't aimlessly wondered off a TV set before the interviewer cut to commercial, hasn't referred to the "war in Iraq" (which is a hilariously ironic Freudian, by the way) when asked about Ukraine, hasn't forgotten the Queen of England passed. These are all within the past 30 days.

In fairness to Biden, Trump has not suffered two brain aneurisms either. But equating the two men's communication abilities assumes we are all completely deaf and blind. It assumes we have to view this only through political lenses. It assumes we have to lie to each other just to get through the day.

It's much harder to pull that off when you've just been elected POTUS for the first time. "You did all this groundwork just to quit 2 months in?" Going into your 2nd term as an incumbent makes it much easier to walk away, with the benefit of additional age and further deterioration in his cognitive ability. I would have told your friends not to hold their breaths in 2020. If I'm being honest, Joe looks like someone to me that has maybe 2 or 3 years left in the tank before he's no longer with us. The job of POTUS takes a lot out of a person. It's said the aging process is accelerated, due to the stress and demands.

Seems to me that you're interpretation of Biden's health is a subjective interpretation to match your politics. You are lying to yourself if u think you are being objective here. I heard similar stuff when Hillary ran in 2016 and 2020 with Biden the first time. It's nothing more than an effort to dissuade voters.

Interestingly, you give Trump's age, lies, stumbles, malapropisms, etc a total pass. Why don't we talk about the stress on trump of being the defendant in multiple civil and criminal cases over the next year. Not to mention he appears to be in far worse physical shape than Biden.

It would be great if both parties had younger candidates, but not happening. Hopefully in 2028.

You have to really pay attention to health in campaigns. Hillary Clinton famously died of a mystery illness just after the election. I remember all the signs that conservatives pointed out. At least I think she died… she was clearly on deaths door according to people on this board.

    ??? Huh ???

2016 Hillary Clinton would run circles and do cartwheels around 2023 Joe Biden. She would do 360 dunks on top of his head. She would score 7 touchdowns on him before he remembered her name. I run in a lot of GOP friendly circles and never once heard someone lamenting Hillary's age decline and cognitive ability in 2016. You're just making shit up.

Biden is still robust and is traveling the world to try and make it a better and safer place for our descendants. Yes, I grant you he makes eye popping gaffs, but he isn't a narcissist who puts himself before the welfare of the country. I like what he is trying to do. You go ahead, though, and mock him for what are essentially trivialities.

I don't know what you mean by Trump being "cohesive". I would had you said the most "divisive" (by far).

Yes, Biden is making the world a better, safer place by transferring cluster bombs to Ukraine. A weapon that is banned in 105 other nations, including every other G7 nation besides the U.S. A weapon that kills a lot more civilians than soldiers. Yay Biden!!

I could say all is fair in love and war, or you fight fire with fire, but I won't. That would be superficial. I'm also disappointed Biden is sending those weapons to Ukraine, just as I'm disappointed in your superficial response to Biden's ambitions and achievements.

You are just bound and damned determined not to give that man credit for anything, which means one can't take you seriously on that subject.
