Beating the snot out of #2 Kentucky. Here's hoping that Football and Basketball do the same next time around! Just win, we don't necessarily have to rout them!
Sunday March 31st verses MSU. Cags walk off homer in the bottom of the ninth for the 4-3 win. We were down 3-2 after 6 until Evans got HBP as the first batter in the 9th followed by Jac's homer to the RF berm. This game also followed a walk off against MSU on Friday night after being down 6-2 going into the 8th. 2 walk offs against an SEC opponent in the same weekend. Unfortunately the rest of the SEC schedule wasn't as kind until the last weekend everything started to change.
Here are a few that I'm really fond of that haven't been mentioned yet: - Both of Cags' homers against LSU (the game winner in extras and the crowd silencer the next day) - Shelnut's 2 run homer in the 8th and McNeillie's subsequent save against Texas A&M in the regular season (huge turning point for him) - Shelton's go ahead homer against Oklahoma State - Also in that same game against Oklahoma State: Wilson tagging up from second base on a flyout in center field then getting home on a wild pitch that didn't even get 15 feet from home plate. Two gutsy plays that could have ended badly but really showcased how badly he wanted it that game.
Gator wins Hole losses It will be at least 8 years that UF has a baseball NC and F$U doesn’t so 8 years of Hole tears and missery is always a highlight for me.
