In the right system he could be great. Lior’s of unknowns here to stick around. I think he’s off to the next highest bidder. Hope not, but these kids today get paid and it’s changed the game.

This is the only reason why I am so adamant about getting a transition coach. I know that will not happen... so that portal window will only work against our team, because I can't see anyone coming to Gainesville without a new coach being named first, but some player will most likely leave. Now, if we name a new coach mid-year, and he's still coaching another team... that would be tricky. I doubt that helps in that portal window either. So, we're basically not going to do well in that portal window, which sucks...

Naming a new coach early can only happen if it's a coordinator and you get permission from their current school, they are still under contract. Head coaches cannot interview until the regular season is over.

Coaches can't say they will not renew a contract? That's news to me.

Rumors... err... chatter is a powerful tool.

While I hope, I don’t know Kiffin will be our coach next year. What I am a bit more certain about, though, is Kiffin is going leave Ole Miss for greener pastures. He’s done all he can do there, and schools with more potential are going to come calling.
