From 70/75. Would Urban put up with this?

What does culture mean if it’s not playing 110% for your teammates?

Until further notice, effort will be contingent upon the status of the NIL deal.

When I see that, I see Rob Sale doing NOTHING ALL OFF SEASON TO TEACH BLOCKING SCHEMES. Look at the right guard and right tackle... .

It's no wonder Mertz had a bad day passing. We see why right there, and that was all game long...

Napier is still using Nick Saban's 15 years ago formula... Remember when Saban was getting left behind for having fat slobs on his O-line that could not keep up with the quick paced teams with the hurry-up offenses... The types of hurry-up offenses that many teams in the SEC started implementing. And Saban tried to get the league to slow the game down... Who did Saban hire to change his fat-boy O-line, slow motion, offensive mentality? Kiffin... Sarkisian? Napier got left out of that loop, Obviously...

what is amazing is that in todays Napier press conference, he discussed that Manuel earned some snaps at left tackle so they were subbing him in for Barber, arguably our strongest O linemen, throught the first half. Like a participation trophy Manuel gets to play some key snaps as part of the game plan.

This led to George ending up playing 20% more snaps than Barber. ,
George, the worst linemen on the team last year. The game plan includes subbing out the strength of your o line (the left side) but not the right side which has been trouble all fall camp? Beyond dumb.

    Snap Count

    Damieon George: 47

    Austin Barber: 39
20% more snaps for George. And yes, Napier said something like we were giving Manuel the 3rd, 6th and 9th drives as part of our plan. Nothing against Manuel but Barber shouldn’t be benched unless hurt or tired.

if I recall correctly after James pick Barber and Harris were both on the bench and the 2nd team o line on the left side took the field. Super important drive and you sub out the best part of the o line.

if Manuel earned some snaps how about get him on the right side at tackle? That side was a sieve.

Again, when has poor play or effort ever been addressed by this coaching regime? Get what you tolerate.

    It is all coaching.

simplify your blocking scheme if they don’t get it. Help them out with play calling.

The same can be said for the Defense

The players knew they were outmatched and outcoached and had no chance of winning. I would assume at some point players realize they won’t be in the NFL and if they’re getting destroyed what are they playing for at that point. Not justifying that horrendous effort they’re taking after their coach’s emotionless demeanor

This is pretty much the answer. NCAAF success is basically just a paywall. Have a good season boys but I think between the commercialization of the game in general and how much we pay to suck that this might just be the first and last weekend I consume college football this season.

And we wonder why we lost this game? It was all just avoidable coaching blunders from the start of his time in Gainesville. You do NOT MESS WITH THE O-LINE IN GAMES UNLESS SOMEONE IS GETTING KILLED OR INJURED. That is not a place to be bringing players in and out of the game just for game time experience... Not in a pivotal game like the Miami game.

Wow, I have never ever heard of that happening for that kind of reason. Rob Sale has to go!!!

It’s lunacy. Reminds me of that absurd RB rotation that Mullen used.

College O-lines are like ONE UNIT, the chemistry is real, and messing with that is a recipe for failure. This is Pop Warner level dumb.
