I think it's an equally fair to question to what would have happened if Great Britain gave in to the colonies' demands without participating in the violence.

BS! One example: members of a "cult" never criticize their leader. MAGAts never criticize Trump. Democrats criticize Biden all the time. Another example: Democrats are by and large (there are exceptions) open-minded and flexible, MAGAts are closed-minded and rigid and see Democrats as enemies to be eliminated.

Having said this, I don't for one minute expect you to moderate your rigid, mean-spirited, the sky-is-falling stance.

 

We've discussed this before, and just as there were American Loyalists, there were also those on the other side that were sympathetic to the colonies. One of the biggest names who held such a view was General William Howe.
