Texas gets in before UGa. They beat Bama at home. No way a one loss UGa gets in over a one loss Texas that beat the common opponent. Hopefully Louisville makes this easy and beats the ever loving chit out of the clown SOW.
If UGA and FSU get left out it will take all the pain of our sucky year way for a moment... and I can then compartmentalize it for a few months.
I am torn. I do not want the Seminoles to make the playoffs. But if Louisville does beat them, I believe that I will put Georgia back in. I don’t want Georgia to have any chance to win the title.
But Georgia over whom? Washington or Meatchicken? No. Alabama? Categorically not. Texas? Probably not.
Gator fans should have no issues with this one FSU needs to lose now (my default position always). Georgia ain't getting in over Texas. That means our most hated and disgusting rivals will have to eat a chit sandwich for the.2023 season. That might make this year easier to stomach.
I won’t sweat it at all. It only further reduces Georgia’s chances of getting in, and the SWAC team I’m watching struggle against Louisville won’t keep it competitive for a quarter in the playoffs.
Yes but we have the possibility of both SOW and Nutt lovers both being eliminated with SOW humiliation tonight. Louisville wins and playoffs are set with both of those garbage teams and their fan bases feeling terrible - like they should for every second of their existence.
I cannot wait to see the selection show. There is going to be someone who is really pissed off. I am hoping it is the SEC. Mostly for spite and the Gators being down but also to kill the current playoff selection and maybe even the NCAA. My thoughts are if the SEC is left out, they would leave the playoff agreement and NCAA and do their own thing. The current agreement is dead anyways now that the PAC 12 is gone. Any 12 team system they were working on prior to the PAC 12 folding is gone and will have to be completely revamped anyways. FSU getting rejected would be pretty hilarious too though. How soul crushing will it be for their fans and the school to go undefeated and told by the committee we just do not value your team and we are going a different direction.
It will be 12 teams next year. The only revamping that will occur is instead of the 5 automatic P5 bids plus the top group of 5. It will be 4+1 and 7 at large.
Washington, and Texas may have more dynamic quarterbacks and it does give them a chance. But the other 40 players in the two deep are still heading shoulders above them. I would still bet on Alabama or Georgia to beat anybody else in the country at this point. I do believe Texas beating. Alabama deserves a spot. I believe Washington going defeated and beating a decent Oregon team to get there twice also has earned their spot. Michigan beat Ohio State to earn their slot. There’s not really a clear decision to be made for the last spot but Travis, not being with FSU, takes them out of consideration for me.
If Travis was there, they would be going for sure. Putting them in only to let them get humiliated. It’s just stupid
