What I Just Learned on Rupp Rafters...

Per Rupp Rafters, I think as long as we don’t try to outscore them we’ll be good.

 

Outscoring them is kinda important, isn’t it?

 

This is the kind of game where players like Aberdeen and Thomas have to contribute. Our 4 guards will be tested by UK so depth will be needed. When Aberdeen comes in we can't have a step down on defense or UK goes on a run. Thomas has to hit the boards hard and contribute on the offensive glass to give our offense a chance to start our own run. If Thomas is in for Samuels then he has big shoes to fill in a big game. We have to expect guys like Condon and Krugel will play well but its the 8=9 guys off the bench that have to get us over the top. UK will key on Samuels and Pullin to disrupt the offense. Look for Handlogten and Richard to have open opportunities.

 

UK is very efficient on offense. We will have to up our defensive game and that might be hard. We are still a work in progress on D.

 

Rupp Rafters is entertaining. One UK fan there just compared Florida trying to play at a fast pace with Kentucky to himself (a self-proclaimed obese person) challenging Usain Bolt to a race.

I don’t even care about the game that much, but I would love to see the arrogance punished.

 

Lol..we play fast pace and prefer that than half court. I pray it is a fast pace game on OURA HOME COURT. That will favor us tremendously

 

I mean, I’m not saying we will beat UK or that they will beat us, but for them to think “it’s suicide” to even dare to run with them is just crazy. I hope we beat them in a horse race just to shit them up.

I may not like UK, but I respect them. Doesn’t seem that many UK fans respect us even though we are the one team they should respect.

Yeah will be a fun game. Both teams consistently score in the 80s and 90s. Kentucky fans are in for a rude awakening if they think they'll score in the 80s and Florida won't, especially with Florida at home.

This is true, but it’s not the raw total of points that matters. Instead, it’s the efficiency. E.g. If Florida scores 1.1 points per possession when shooting from the field, then shooting 60% from the chairty stripe should be helpful as it would result in 1.2 FTs made per visit to the line. However, shooting 50% from the line would be hurtful, and the more trips to the line the more damage would be done.

 

How crazy does it seem to post this and it be true.

The last time we had an edge in the paint against UK was 10 years ago.
