Love the optimism but they weren't back-to-back national champs with predictions to play for a 3rd back then. Lot of season to see how the team will look, concern is depth that we lack so we can't take any major injuries.

Could easily go 3-5 or 0-5

Another rough year for the liver

0-5 This year. QB is a real problem.

    Gotta keep recruiting.

Exactly. We could easily win four or lose all five. We have no idea what we will have at qb or oline. Then we have our worse defense ever with a new coordinator. No idea what to expect, only hope.

We better beat usc and Kentucky. It’ll be ugly if not. That’s definitely a po though.

We can be optimistic but so is everyone else. Not going to be an easy year to get wins. Hopefully they are fighters .

I say 4-1..fsu and ut are at home..and we came within a whisker of beating them on their field with the team we had last year.
I think we also can beat Utah and lsu, so they are on the road, but Utah's QB is questionable as far as injury recovery, and I am not that sold on lsu, our defense messed up there and I think our defense will be improved...
uga is the only one I think is a loss at the moment...but that is why we play the game..who thought we would beat them a couple years ago?
I feel we will be much improved and will surprise many..we will see soon enough..

Both on the road...those might not be the easy outs they used to be.

They won’t be. They are better, also we aren’t very good.

Do we really know that yet? You can't judge this upcoming season based on last year or on a spring scrimmage..we need to see a game with the current players, teams can improve

Yes, I get that. How good we are going to be is yet to be determined. my point is that we are wondering whether we are going to have six wins or nine wins. We know we aren’t going to have 12 wins because we are just no way in. Hell that good. Hopefully we are better than Kentucky and South Carolina. Maybe we are better than FSU and LSU. We won’t be better than Georgia.

No..don't think we will go undefeated..we haven't done that even when SOS and Meyer were our coaches with Danny and Tim...but I think we can win at least 9 to 10 games this year...that's what to me is exciting about the start of a fresh new season...a bit of the unknown and the hope that we will improve and be much better..
I don't like to think we will be worse or the same as last year now before playing a game..takes the fun out of my season before it begins :)

Only 2 real gimmies on the schedule this year. These games are the one’s that will likely define the season, imho. Outside of Vandy is UF definitely better right now than the other teams? Any losses here and the teeth gnashing will ramp up, expeditiously.

    @ Kentucky
    Vanderbilt
    @ South Carolina
    Arkansas
    @ Missouri

Of the other 5 games, to get one of them would be a big plus. Just don’t lose to the clowns at home, please!

CFN rates transfer QB Devin Leary as Kentucky's very best player overall.
Like with Utah and Rising, if healthy, we're going to have our hands full.

    Kentucky Wildcats 10 Best Players
    1. Devin Leary, QB Sr.
    2. D’Eryk Jackson, LB Sr.
    3. Marques Cox, OT Sr.
    4. JJ Weaver, LB Sr.
    5. Ray Davis, RB Sr.
    6. Keeshawn Silver, DT Soph.
    7. Eli Cox, OT Sr.
    8. Jordan Lovett, S Soph.
    9. Trevin Wallace, LB Jr.
    10. Barion Brown, WR Soph.

Yeah, I know. I hate to be negative, and I know supposedly “help is on the way.” But there was nothing in either the way the team progressed over the course of last season or the quality of our last recruiting class that suggests we should expect an improved product on the field this year. And it would take an improved product to win even two of those games. Best chance remains SWAC just because they aren’t very good either. Even with all the mistakes during the last game, we should have won that one.

On average we are probably a 30-40% chance to win any of those games individually. So that puts us around 1 or 2 wins against the group.

I know you can't put much stock into any spring game, but Ole Miss scored over 100 combined points, while we scored....17.:eek:
Assuming we run the ball more than pass, where is our scoring coming from to keep up with anyone?
