Im ok with it. It helps justify my feelings of angst and frustration. These are necessary for processing the fact that are worst nightmares are in fact reality. And that we are sitting at the bottom of a very deep well and we have to rub the lotion on our skin or we get the hose again.
What disturbs me is I see a football team with 0% desire or emotion. A team that looks like it's going through the motions. A team that was manhandled in every aspect of the game. It pains me to say this but I'm not so sure we do much better against Samford?
Munich the real Oktoberfest opening day is 4:30pm Saturday September 21st. I am there every year for the official keg tap, and its always the 2nd to last Saturday of Sept and runs three weeks I can only do 5 days before the liver calls for mercy and home time.
The only boxes I want him to check now are the cardboard boxes he uses to clean out his desk. Check and make sure you got everything so you don’t come back.
What disturbs me is he hasn't been fired already. What disturbs me is SS hasn't been fired already. Until those two things happen, I'll be in perpetual disturbation.
I was disturbed in November of 2021 when I heard the words “Billy Napier”, “University of Florida” and “head coach” all in the same sentence. I was disturbed when thought back to the coaches who came here and won big. I thought back to bold, brash, commanding men who ran innovative, exciting offenses that challenged defenses to guard every blade of grass like Spurrier and Urban Meyer, men who did things people thought were impossible in Utah and at Duke, then I looked at Billy Napier and I saw NONE of that. AGAIN. And I was disturbed.
How nice would it have been to get Lincoln Riley? What kind of a nitwit would take Napier over Riley? And how does said nitwit get promoted to the position to exert their nitwittiness?
He wants to be a mentor to the staff and players. Camp Crystal lake has an opening. We want seasoned coaches unless that ship has sunk
Napier killed a million people’s dreams for the future in fifteen minutes Saturday, Jason Vorhees has nothing on Billy Napier.
Bobby, your point #2 in the first thread entry is great. What the he!! is our team identity? Other posters have stated it’s a run first offense. But when our line gets their butts handed to them where do we turn? Are we known for hitting hard, flying to the ball on defense? Precision passing game? Lockdown defensive backfield? TE’s that scare opponents? Special teams play beyond compare? Toughness in effort? The best identity I can muster is we don’t give up. Well even at times I’ve seen individual players give up. I was a Napier supporter until the third quarter this past weekend. Three consecutive scores by Miami, and no halftime adjustments, made me turn. Year three, same thing, different year. And we pay Nape 7+ million for this result? I guess I should point the finger at myself for being so invested, and interested throughout the year. Nonchalance has never been a strong suit of mine. Now as for Napier…..
How ca n the other offensive linemen not be an improvement over what we say on the right side? There’s just no way right?
I have to feel SS has to wait towards the end of the season when it's clear we have another losing season under BN. The axe will either come after the LSU loss or the Ole Miss blowout. If not then it's after the season. If somehow BN is kept for another year I will wait for basketball. No interest watching more humiliation.
Right there with you, but I will also add the transfer portal, NIL and just getting older to the things that have soured me on Gator football. It has been a while since I watched the game and wasn't also doing something else at the same time like working or working out. Can't justify blowing 3.5 hours just watching that mess on Saturdays. I don't even waste my Jack Daniels on these games anymore.
