Defense doesn't exist in football anymore when teams have equal talent. But yes we need better talent across the board.
We will see what kind of coach BN is if he cuts loose the dead weight coaches he hired. Muschamp didn't do it...Mac didn't do it...Mullen didn't do it...if Billy wants to win he will shit can a few friends or not.
The attention to detail, the class, the drive, the youth, and the desire to constantly recruit. I believe he has the humility to learn from mistakes and will refuse to continue making them. I may be dead wrong, but I do not think that will be the case. Time will tell.
We need to consider hiring DJ Durkin or someone like Geoff Collins... but better, and stable at DC. A DC that is NOT looking for a head coaching gig any time soon. Sorry, but I can see that we currently have a coach that is worse than Grantham was, and that is unacceptable.
Completely agree on some points for sure. Not sure if it is personal, scheme, decision making but this program is at a min 3 years from achieving national stage, playoff talk, etc relevancy.
I don't know how to feel after this loss. Staff needs to get rolling for sure. It's not all talent. The scheme has leaks. CBN does not need to be OC or DC. He needs Pros.
It may be 3 years. I say we are relevant in 2024. It will hinge on recruiting. The 23 and 24 classes will have to carry 3 to 5 All SEC players.
Vols, Jayhawks, TCU, & Ole Miss prove that it can be in one season. For whatever reason, that will not hold true for UF. I think coach has done some really good things. But there is more question marks than not YTD.
For sure. Mistakes have been made. Billy brought on his old staff, basically, from Louisiana, and he himself took on a lot as HC, OC, and QB coach. It is too much for Billy to do all that, and some on the staff won't be back next year. Billy will adjust. Well, I believe he will, and time shall tell.
I’ve been saying that on the premium board. This shouldn’t have to take 3 damn years. That’s just an excuse to buy time. I’m over it.
The Mullen stench will almost be gone by next year. Many people on this board have not realize that the Gator Defense this past spring was a major rebuild project. We are still two or three years away of being suffocating.
For a few games here and there, recall UK? Mizzu we had 17 points on Offense. The overall scheme is much like Muschamps offenses. Hoe may times do we run up the middle on 1rst down. It’s a ball control offense and not set up to spread the field. So we need studs on both sides to out play the other teams.
