Guys like this are the real student athletes. It does make me wonder whether that will get turned on its head too. Will the model be the 5 stars get more NIL to cover/pay tuition and save the scholarships for kids that don’t get much NIL.
Coaches throw whatever resources they have at 5 stars to land them. Why would a 5* pay out of pocket for his tuition and meals when every other school offers it for free? What will likely happen is that the 2* kids and specialists are offered NIL money to cover tuition. Unfortunate, but a reality.
Yeah....think you will see wealthy schools bringing in several guys as PWO that get enough NIL to make the offer as good as going to a smaller school on scholarship.
