We're not too far away from a Trump supporter eating a cat just to make it true.

Ohio's Republican governor, Mike DeWine, chimes in.

"This is something that came up on the internet. The internet can be quite crazy sometimes. Mayor [Rob] Rue, says, 'No there's no truth in that,' they have no evidence of that at all. So I think we go with what the mayor says, he knows his city."

Does the GOP seriously want to hitch its wagon to xenophobic white power crap? That wouldn't bode well for the long term sustainability of the GOP as a viable party. #demographics

Biden goofing around with some maga guys. One calls him old and he calls him old back all with smiles. Pretends to wear a maga hat and tells them not to eat any cats or dogs at the end. Maga guy jokes back saying but they are good.

I saw that earlier. Biden is super wholesome in this but this is outside where Flight 93 crashed. He visited for 9/11 and a bunch of people sent their kids in Trump gear. Super classless thing to do, especially on 9/11. He still took a picture with all them. Then he had this interaction with this guy. Honestly Biden reminds me of my grandfather.

We're going to miss the old timey retail politics guys that dont use the internet and had to actually talk to people in person for most of their life. The future is a bunch of terminally online people. I suppose when everyone else is the same way, it wont be a big deal.

Why wait 6 months before the election to be ready to sign?

February isnt 6 months before the election, and I'm sure the groundwork on the Senate agreement goes back further to last year. But ultimately why does that matter? Would you expect someone to basically cede the debate to you if they didnt think there was political gain to be had?

The Governor, Mayor and Police Chief all say the story isn't confirmed. But why would the AG differ?

Also, a little math. There are about 60k residents in Springfield, OH, and estimated 10k to 15k Haitian immigrants there legally, and a temporary work permit. If pet consumption was widespread, it wouldn't take too long for the immigrants to run out of animals.

There was a single story about a women from Canton, who wasn't an immigrant. Other than that, nothing confirmed. And no widespread report of missing animals, which even if 1 in 100 immigrants were taking pets, that's a lot of animals that should have been reported.

I was thinking of the asylum restrictions.
    My bad.

However, if he was really was serious, why sue Texas for trying to stop these illegal border crossings with the floating barriers.
    It seems like BS imo.

Unh?? So it’s Biden’s fault the repubs purposely refused to pass in Feb.?

“President Biden used his State of the Union remarks on Thursday to forcefully call on Republican lawmakers in Congress to pass a bipartisan immigration compromise that stalled last month, accusing them of derailing the proposal for political reasons.”

In State of the Union, Biden urges GOP to back immigration compromise: "Send me the border bill now" - CBS News

The reason they are suing Texas is because of jurisdiction, immigration matters are the domain of the Fed - always has been. Do we want 50 different immigration policies in this country as states start to grab power for themselves or one?
