Except my great grandmother and her family were given nothing. These immigrants now are given everything. But you’re right, my great grandmother never fully assimilated. I never met my great grandmother but I know her English was broken at best. My mom’s side heritage wise was all English/Irish so no language issues there.

My grandmother was second generation and completely assimilated. The current second generation of Haitians barely try to assimilate.

Sorry to have missed the verbal skirmish earlier this week. I think you are an impostor for a number of reasons stated earlier this year in the Great Replacement thread. Mostly due to your claims about Roger Maris, saying he had a triple net lease and "ran" Alligator Alley, where he sold "a lot of his beer."

Anheuser Busch pulled the Maris family distributorship in 1997. After years of civil litigation the family received due compensation for their loss. Maris never sold 'his beer' at Alligator Alley. Do you even know what Alligator Alley is?!

From time to time I've mentioned Darlene, my MAGA mouthed housekeeper, and her gullible propensity to fall for fraudulent financial promotions and believe in all sorts of weird conspiracies. Trucker and I made it our policy to never bring up or mention even in passing any of the outrageous conspiracies she believed to be true; i.e. the basement in Washington's Rocket Pizza where children were trafficked; furries in school; government sponsored chemically loaded contrails; the underground tunnel running from the basement of Denver International Airport to the state of Maine that used to traffic children, etc. When she mentioned them - as she frequently did - we kept silent until she shut up or we changed the subject. By raising her voice and continually talking she made it impossible to reasonably discuss things.

She's 58 and made a good many mistakes in her life, starting out as the second born child of a half native American woman who had 6 children with 5 different men. Darlene's father was a quarter Cherokee and according to family history came west on the "Trailer* of Tears" when the Cherokee were expelled from their homelands. Her mother was married to two of them but without question the everchanging domestic arrangements were damaging to her children. All of Darlene's brothers and sister have been married and divorced multiple times and two of her brothers are ex cons.

Darlene's first marriage was to a machinist who manufactured meth. She said when she discovered what he was doing she left him, but not before making threats and protecting herself by leaving a letter with a trusted friend. Her next relationship was with Tony, a man who owned and ran a successful glass company. They were never married but lived together for about 3 years. She told me she became pregnant but her Tony convinced her to abort the child. At the time he was stepping out on her and she found out about it and got pregnant again. Likely in an attempt to make him stay with her. He wanted her to have another abortion but she refused and had the baby boy and Tony married Connie, his new girlfriend. They had 2 daughters and are still together after more than 35 years.

There were custody battles and suits but the boy reached adulthood and owns his own glass business, subsidized by his father. Connie and Darlene are frequently thrown together at events like birthday parties for the 4 grandchildren they share. The bitterness and resentment is palpable on Darlene's part. She despises Connie and believes Connie hates her because she gave Tony his only son.

At least once a week Darlene would complain about Connie doing this or that, attempting to alienate her grandchildren's affection or causing some sort of trouble. Then she would say, "but I'm over it," before immediately adding to her complaint. Week after week for 5 and a half years. Judge, complain, "I'm over it," judge, complain, "But I'm over it." Repeat.

Since she and Tony split Darlene has been married and divorced 2 more times. Her inability to deal with husband #2's alcoholism ended that marriage. Her latest marriage to a Nigerian man she met when she went to Nigeria trying to recover the money she foolishly invested in some financial scheme ended about a year ago when she discovered she could not trust him.

This past week I was waiting for her to bring up the newest myths out of Springfield when she once again started in on some offensive remark Connie directed towards her. And once again punctuating it with, "I'm over it." I was sitting on my unmade bed and when she uttered those last three words I pulled the covers over my head. She did not like that, said she had chores to do and left the room.

She then went into the room where Trucker was watching TV and started talking about the 'evil Haitians eating pets in Springfield.' Stating the known facts of the situation he immediately shut her down resulting in a somewhat heated argument. I was not in the room so did not hear all that was said, but it apparently pissed her off. She told him she was leaving early, picked up her handbag and left our house. Four hours later we received her 3 page resignation letter full of her near incoherent gripes, half truths, and complaints of being disrespected because we did not take her political views seriously.

She had been a big help to us and may be difficult to replace, but I am relieved as it had become an intensely stressful situation dealing with her profound ignorance.

I had a part time secretary who was so convinced there was fraud in the 2020 election she went through poll worker training and actually worked a minor election in St. Pete to get the inside scoop on how the Dems were pulling it off. Regarding Roger Maris Jr , the sales manager of the family beer distributorship, if you want to know if he ever set foot in Alligator Alley you or anyone on the board could call or ask him. Or call Terry Parks business phone 352-376-0252. He opens up at 6am which would be a good time to catch him. Your total invested time would be roughly 30 seconds. You say it's inconceivable that this ever happened. Just make the call. Or do you want me to get Terry to mail you a notarized statement that Maris Jr was in AA. The Maris family didn't settle the 2nd court case till 2005. Maybe he was talking to Terry about that.

I realize some of your best posters like mdgator05, VAg8r1 and AzCatFan might feel like no human could dominate them as I have without AI tech but it's actually very easy. I read or listen to what the smartest experts say on various topics.
