My Grandpa passed away today. He played for UF in '58 and was an All American at Robert E. Lee High in Jax. He was an incredible man and lived an extremely full life.
My condolences, RIP. Sounds like a great man who lived a long, fulfilling life. My old man graduated from Lee (a few decades after RIP's grandfather).
I'm sorry to hear that. It has always seemed like you were very close to your grandparents if I remember from other posts. Sounds like he lived a great and full life.
Sorry to hear this, RIP. I hope you and your family can come together for a great celebration of your grandfather's life.
Sorry for your loss. Family goes back to 1827 in Middleburg. Mom worked for sheriffs office from 95 until around 2005. Celebrate the life, sounds like he lived a good one
We've lived within 10 miles of each other for 90% of my life. I was truly lucky with the 4 Grandparents I was dealt. He did indeed lead a full life. He worked the Bundy case when he worked for FDLE. He had to spend hours with the sicko and would rarely talk about it. He truly hated Bundy.
You and your family are in my prayers brother. I pray the joy of his memory soon overcomes the sting of his passing
Condolences. RIP. 1958, I think that was the year I first started following the Gators (my older brother was a freshman at UF). The only names I still remember from that year are Vel Heckman, who was an All-American lineman, and QB Jimmy Dunn. I think RB Jim Rountree may have been a year or two earlier. Ditto FB Rick Casares.
