This game figures to show Gator fans a little about what our team will look like in the coming years, as Kyle Smith, Washington State's HC is Todd Golden's mentor. It is so nice to see the Defensive Rebounding from Wash St., but more importantly, they are definitely drinking the analytics kool aid.

I say this because, I have only seen Wash. St. shoot three shots. Free Throws, shots at the rim, and 3's. There are no off balance, falling away mid range jumpers. This is exactly how EVERY team in the NBA plays now, they just shoot those 3 shots. As from a numbers point of view, they are the most "valuable" shots.

Chris Paul, Demar DeRozan, and a couple other guys are about the only NBA players still allowed to shoot mid range 2 pointers.

Wazoo plays pretty good defense, and either one of their guards, Flowers or the shorter Roberts, can go for 30 on any given night.

Pitino had such an offense back when he was at Providence. It is not a new thing. It is old analytics. Some mid range shots are good shots. Open ones are from good shooters. Contested ones are not from any shooter.
