Well Duggars Dad and the rest of the pro Russian set on this board. Question?

How's the glorious invasion working out for ya'll?

Stuck in the mud and basically achieved nothing except killing innocent civilians and destroying several towns. Not to mention sending 10's of thousands of Russians to an early meeting with Jesus and 10's of thousands more broken and messed up into a lifetime health care program.

Outskirts of Bahkmut still holds lol. In fact the entire 625 kilometeres have hardly changed (SINCE the Ukrainian offensive took back thousands of square kilometers last fall).

Oh I know what it is - Russias new military mascot is the GROUND SLOTH, that represents the speed of Russian offensive capabilities. LMAO

Word is they called out up that one T-34 from the May day celebration, for early departure, to "plug a gap".

I have my own thoughts about what a conventional shooting war would be between Russia and Nato. You folks would be lucky if it lasted more than 2 weeks before NATO MBT's were enjoying a site seeing tour at red Square.

Your hero really screwed the pooch. I see a body bag in his near future.

Interesting. Can't imagine they poisoned him, because why would they think that would help them?

Is Belarus about to enter the war with a new leader or will this lead to revolution in Belarus?

How many forces does Russian have in Belarus? Is the military leadership there pro Putin?

and they just told him to stay there or we will shoot you and your men when you retreat. Russian military way of getting rid of any potential threat from Wagner? Let the Ukranians kill them?

Russian mercenary chief says he's been told to stay in Bakhmut or be branded traitor | Reuters

May 9 (Reuters) - The head of Russia's Wagner mercenary force fighting in eastern Ukraine said on Tuesday he had been told he and his men would be regarded as traitors if they abandoned their positions in the city of Bakhmut.

But Yevgeny Prigozhin said for the second time in a matter of days that his forces would leave Bakhmut if they did not receive the ammunition they needed to press the battle. He delivered his latest tirade in a profanity-laced audio message which coincided with Russia marking the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in World War Two with its traditional parade on Moscow's Red Square.

"A combat order came yesterday which clearly stated that if we leave our positions (in Bakhmut), it will be regarded as treason against the motherland. That was the message to us," Prigozhin said.

"(But) if there is no ammunition, then we will leave our positions and be the ones asking who is really betraying the Motherland. Apparently, the one (betraying the Motherland) is the person who signed it (the order to supply too little ammunition."

European countries issue RFP for long range missiles for Ukraine. 190 mile range would certainly help push stockpiles, troop concentrations, and fuel depots further back while further hindering logistics by taking out bridges, rail depots

Britain asks companies to supply long-range missiles for Ukraine | Reuters

LONDON, May 9 (Reuters) - A British-led group of European countries has asked for expressions of interest to supply Ukraine with missiles with a range of up to 300 km (190 miles) in what would be another step-up in military support for Kyiv against Russia's invasion.

The call for responses from companies who could provide such missiles was included in a notice posted last week by the International Fund for Ukraine - a group of countries including Britain, Norway, the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden - set up to send weapons to Kyiv.

Britain's Ministry of Defence, which administers the fund, asked companies to get in touch if they could provide missiles that can be launched from land, sea or air with a payload of between 20 and 490 kg (44 and 1,078 pounds).

The notice asked for other desirable requirements including a "low probability of intercept", "mission planning capability", and "air defence penetration methods to increase probability of successful strike". The notice said companies that responded would be contacted from June 5.

I can't speak for other posters but I get the sense that the stars are aligning in Ukraines favor.

Clearly Wagner and the Russian military are somewhat at odds. Bakmut and essentially the entire front line still holds since the Russian offensive of later Feb. early March.

    NATO equipment is rolling in.

6 armored brigades are reportedly at 95% / ready to go.

USA support seems like it will be solid, at least until the end of 2024.

Russians are sending 1948 "stock" tanks into battle.

It seems Ukraine is "hitting" Russian ammo / fuel / logistics centers.

Ukraine has made a small crossing of the Dnieper River and Russians are evacuating parts of Crimea.

Putin is blaming NATO and US for the "Police Action". LMAO

My reading of the smoke signals is that when Ukraine makes the big offensive "push" it may have devastating consequences for the Russian situation.

Wrong again, Russia-Boy. Ukraine's air force was upset that the news of the kill went out before they had a chance to confirm that it was actually a "Dagger" missile. They confirmed it a day later. Maybe you shouldn't get your news from Russian Looney Tunes media outlets. Nice propaganda, but no sale.

The Brits think that Russian casualties are "worse than anyone thinks". He thinks the west's way of estimating casualties has some faulty assumptions built in to it. Ukraine has something like 10,000 drone operators, directing artillery fire and attacking the enemy. The author has a point--Ukraine's drones are watching the battle from above (I had no idea they had THAT MANY drones), and they would likely have a better idea of the damage being done than someone getting reports from a distance.

Russia’s losses are worse than anyone thinks (yahoo.com)

NATO / USA needs to get off the snide and start feeding Ukraine with F-16s and the associated pilot training and F-16 infrastruture package.

    Game over Kremlin.

Unless of course they want to change the game to measuring radioactivity.

If he is to be believed, I guess this is what it looks like when the seams fail. Too bad the Ukranians were not informed or prepared enough to take advantage of the breakdown.

And he wonders why he can't get ammo..no pity for this pos

Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin says Russian troops are running away from the front lines and threatens to spill more details if Putin doesn't send ammunition (msn.com)
The boss of the notorious Russian paramilitary Wagner Group said that some of the Kremlin's forces "abandoned their positions" and ran away from the frontlines of Moscow's war with Ukraine.

In a video published to Telegram on Tuesday, Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin mocked the Russian troops as he detailed how they ran from their positions near the war-torn Ukrainian city of Bakhmut.

"So today, one of the units of the Ministry of Defense fled from one of our flanks, abandoned their positions," Prigozhin said. "They all fled and opened up a front almost two kilometers [1.24 miles] wide and 500 meters [1,640 feet] deep."

Prigozhin said in the video — posted ahead of Russia's annual Victory Day parade — that the Russian troops ran off because of "stupid" and "criminal" orders given by senior military commanders, according to a translation by The Moscow Times. "Soldiers should not die because of the absolute stupidity of their leadership," Prigozhin said, according to the news outlet.

f-16's would be hard pressed to defeat ground based missile defense systems but the long range guided bombs Moscow is using are something that Uk cannot defend against without something capable of taking down the SU 23 platforms being used to launch them.

the switch to long range precision guided bombs seemed to begin shortly after Xi visit and are a real problem for Ukraine right now.

I agree they are not a cure all.

However I still think the F16s would complement Ukraines position, obviously the F16s would have to be deployed in resonable circumstances.

One thing for sure, this conflict will re-write the textbooks on industrialized, technological warfare.

My impression is that NATO / Ukraine is proving the efficacy of advanced weapons systems. And this is true with NATO seemingly keeping one arm of its true weapon systems capability tied behind its back.

It is truly mind boggling to think of the full complement of US / NATO capabilities that could be brought to bear in a full out conflict. And I'm just talking conventional systems, not nuclear weapons.

100% correct. Introduction of our airpower alone would cause catastrophic defeat of Russia’s expeditionary force. The only question is how they would escalate if we did.
