an oil refinery fire and other explosions happened in Bryansk in late December. Fire was documented, other reported explosions never had much info.

Russia says mass strikes were 'retaliation' for attack it blamed on Ukraine | Reuters

Russia said on Thursday that its forces had carried out a "massive retaliatory strike" on Ukrainian infrastructure after what it called a terrorist attack in Russia's Bryansk region, which borders Ukraine, last week.

Ukraine said at least six civilians were killed in the first big volley of Russian missile strikes since mid-February,

The Russian defence ministry said in a statement that it hit Ukrainian defence companies and other "military infrastructure" with a range of weapons including Kinzhal hypersonic missiles.

Yep, the current plan is going swimmingly for Ukraine. And yeah, Putin is a liar and a thug. Buying another 8 years of peacetime would be a disaster for Ukraine, because in 8 years Putin would be 78 years old and he’ll….. oh snap, most Russian men don’t live to be 78, so there’s a good chance he will be dead in 8 years.

Nevermind, keep the hypersonics coming in hot. Brilliant strategy.

the fact that all they can do is lob some missiles and shake their fists with vigor says a lot.
I’m still stuck on how the Russian Air Force hasn’t won this war.

This is not all they can do. In fact, there is a lot of evidence Russia has been holding back its best assets in this conflict. And I thought Russia had run out of missiles 6 months ago? Fully support Ukraine, but not buying all the propaganda.

    Holding back for what?
And no one claimed they ran permanently out of missiles that I’m aware of. But even if they had gotten low, 6 months is plenty of time to build a few. They can build about 50 a month. There’s a reason they are only sporadically firing these barrages.
How many missiles does Russia have left?

So you think Russia has roughly 50 missiles left in their arsenal at present? LOL. They have 6,000~ nuclear warheads but just 50 missiles? Some of you will believe anything as long as it has #Ukraine tagged in it.

They seem to lack the find and kill ability to eliminate surface to air systems, not to mention they haven't maintained their air force any better than their army or navy

I think it’s pretty clear he stated that was their rate of replenishment, not their inventory.

Now that said, I have repeatedly cautioned against that casual assumption over the last year that Russia is running out of precision-guided munitions. First, that 50/month datum is just an estimate, and it’s an estimate based on peacetime production. Second, just as we can surge production for wartime, so can Russia. Third, we can only guess what their stockpiles were before the war started. Fourth, we shouldn’t underestimate their ability to innovate.

In summary, waiting on Russia to run out of munitions is as foolish of a strategy as waiting for them to run out of men.

There are a few weapons systems that they are not using, like the T-14 Armada tank. That may just be because they have not worked all of the bugs out of it yet. Or it may be that if the Armada gets destroyed like their other tanks, Russia will have a hard time selling weapons to other countries' armies at anything more than Walmart prices.

They are not only using their best (elite) troops in battle, they have been using them up at a significant rate.

They haven’t innovated their battle plan sine the war start. Strategy is straight out of WW2 minus a navy or Air Force. Just saying…

Wagner being cut off from communications with the Kremlin and all other russian commiunication ..the wheels on the bus may be falling off. senior officers refusing to send more men to their death, Wagner group being cut off. chechen's pissed that their warlord and leader is poisoned and on his death bed..

russia running out of ammo and weapons is a good thing

Kremlin Cuts Off Wagner's Direct Access (msn.com)

Yevgeny Prigozhin, leader of the Wagner Group of Russian mercenaries, on Thursday said he has been cut off from all Russian government communication channels.

In a message posted on his Telegram channel, Prigozhin claimed he had been blocked by the Kremlin due to his public appeals for his Wagner troops to be provided with more ammunition.
    ...................................
"In order to stop me from asking for ammunition, they turned off all special [government] phone lines in all of the offices and [Wagner] units ... and blocked all [my] passes to the agencies responsible for making decisions," Prigozhin said on his Telegram channel, according to a translation from The Moscow Times.

Prigozhin reportedly added, "Now I can only ask [for more supplies] through the media and ... most likely will be doing just that."

You just stated my position better than I could have, but I do believe he was inferring Russia didn’t have a stockpile of missiles and as you took the time to point out, nobody really knows. Just based on observation, I highly doubt the Russians are anywhere close to running out of precision guided missiles. Or else they’ve ramped up production to such a degree they can freely fire hundreds of them at Ukraine every other day and therefore replenishment is not a concern.
