Only with the Marjorie Taylor Greene's of the world, not among anyone whose opinion is respected.

Until Russia learns to conduct itself properly, legally and as a decent neighbor, every country bordering Russia would be foolish NOT to fortify its border.

The good news is Russia is being taught that lesson now and at a significant cost to its economy, military and world standing.

more strikes on air bases within Russia. sabotage groups planting explosives or drones smuggled in and deployed? either way, glad to see it

Ukraine 'hits major Russian air base in fresh strike' | Daily Mail Online

Ukraine is suspected to have struck a major Russian air base in Yeysk after massive explosions at the site, in yet another attack deep behind Moscow's frontlines.

Russian war channel Rybar admitted a hit on Telegram, claiming it was by a Ukrainian long range Tu-141 Strizh drone.

Ukrainian sources also claimed the strike at the military airfield in Krasnodar region, and a picture appeared to show an explosion. 'Residents assume that it could even be missiles hitting the airfield,' said one account.
    ............
Russian officials have denied a strike but locals reported two loud explosions. Then black smoke was seen billowing from the airfield which is a base for strike aircraft used against Ukraine in Vladimir Putin's war.

    Let me get this straight:

A few posters here have no problems with Russia illegally invading Ukraine with an army, launching a steady stream of missles at civilian infrastructure, deporting 10,s of thousands, unwillingly, to re-education and work camps, threaten to use nuclear weapons and are complicit in interfering with Nuclear Power Facilities.

All of thats is "OK" because by their definition Ukraine is really part of Russia despite the breakup of the Soviet PIG state, despite a UN resolution that declares Ukraine a sovereign nation for a quarter of a century, and by every indication the bulk of its citizenry is fighting like mad to prevent the totalitarian hostile take-over.

    LOL

Ukraine should hit Russia, inside Russia, with every capability they have and assisted by NATO weaponry.

Russia ain't taking the gloves off, they deserve every bloody nose they get and then some.

The UN = periodic gesticulations of impotent rage and “illegal” seems quaint, in the world of geopolitics and downright hypocritical when applied to US machinations.

Agree with most. But must emphasize again that it’s only the lesson we want if Russia loses. Otherwise, the lesson they will learn and the world will learn is as follows: Russia always wins eventually, regardless of the cost.

Change of narrative creeping in. Posters here steeling themselves for another proxy war loss for the US. But notice the desperate attempt to couch the acknowledgement in the dubious language of prohibitive Russian losses.

The problem with the “structural path” you’re on, you miserable pig, at some point you’re going to run out of Ukrainian bodies to weaponize ...

There is no moral equivalency here. Looking the other way or enabling Russia as they commit these atrocities makes you complicit. Russia needs to get the hell out of Ukraine.

Russia is not in Ukraine. Rather, it’s busy ejecting violent occupiers from Russia. Or are you one of those crazy MAGA-type election deniers ?

NATO should be in any European country that wants them. If the countries on Russia’s border feel unsafe(and they should) bring them in.

I think hitting all of Russia military bases should be on the table. Russian infrastructure I think strategically would be a bad move.

And of course Russia should have a say in that. And it’s saying it now.

NATO is a defensive alliance. I get that Russia is historically paranoid, but does anyone seriously believe that NATO or the US has designs on invading and conquering Russia? Why would we want that shithole? (not worth the trouble for whatever natural resources they have)

Fascinating analysis has ISR, AKA: “eyes in the sky” occasioning a sea-change in warfare from manned to unmanned. Whereas Russia has budgeted for a 30 month war, the writers predicts the war will drag on for years with fewer men and more and more machines which are being tested in Ukraine as we speak ...

NATO - is a defensive alliance which has marched 1,000 km to the East since 1990.

NATO- the defensive alliance which has been asked by the existing countries 1,000 km to the East to defend them since 1990.

There, I fixed it for you. NATO didn't invade those countries. Those countries asked to be a member.

The bloody nose, they already have. Metaphorically, what Russia needs is a broken ankle or separated shoulder. Something not fatal but debilitating for a nice long period, allowing for good self reflection while not being able to seriously threaten anyone else.

I would like to see targets hit that directly impact the Russian civilian population. I do NOT want to bomb Russian civilians, schools, hospitals, churches or even critical infrastructure. Let the Russian people lose cell service for a week or two as a reminder that there is a war going on, illegally started by their leader, and that they are well within the range of Ukraine's reach. Let them worry about something a little more concerning than the price of a gray market I-Phone or waiting for parts for their BMWs. Level that stadium Putin makes his appearances in. Take their TV service offline during a Putin speech.

I honestly wonder if Russia should be broken up? I am not saying this is our goal in Ukraine but Russia always seems to want to expand. This is not a good thing.

Wonder how the US would react if Mexico forged a defense alliance with China and China trained Mexican troops for the expressed possibility of war with the US ?
