It’s impressive how Ukrainians bond together for their country. Meanwhile we tear our country apart over crt, vaccines, and denial of election results.
In fairness to our country, in the face of an invasion pretty certain differences get set aside fast. Kind of like families that are always fighting, cursing each other out, calling each other names, etc. Someone comes after one of them then that's it, they band together. Edit- at least I would hope.
Russian forces: 'We don’t know who to shoot, they all look like us' A senior U.S. official told ABC News they've heard a Russian soldier on a radio call saying, “We don’t know who to shoot -- they all look like us.” The official also said some Russian forces are disoriented, realizing the battles against Ukrainians are harder than they thought Russia-Ukraine live updates: Ukraine says Russia will be disconnected from SWIFT
To follow up on the intelligence article - countries are sending equipment but no soldiers. Ok. Russia is claiming interference based on satellite information being provided to Ukraine. How is that different than equipment? Not saying we did, asking how it's different. Because it feels like Putin is looking for an excuse to escalate? Which is just nuts but so is he.
My son is in the navy. I fear that this escalates, but I also think that we must do more to help Ukraine.
yep that was my exact thought on the intel item you posted. There might be more support we’re providing than we know. Interesting Germany & France now say they’re sending lethal aid. Hopefully better late than never, but I wonder why now? Maybe the global support Ukraine is getting?
You watchin the same war im watching? Ukraine as a fighting force is...well lets just say, not exactly scary. Meanwhile Putin's incredibly spendy war machine rolling in like a clunky dinosaur, and taking more cssualities than its giving. 3 days... they already lost a general. If this were a chess game, your supposed grand master already lost his queen, like 3 moves in, has poor pawn position...and btw, hes playing against a kid. I don't think hes impressing anyone. Damn sure not scaring anyone--other than the fear that hes crazy enough to deploy nukes if he gets desperate enough.
I believe it was getting the Italians and Germans to get on board. I’d guess the Germans particularly were concerned about cutting their power for something they didn’t know the extent of public support. Apparently, not only have they come along now, but they’re supplying weapons as well.
